Nesting

Since I've been going crazy trying to make sure everything is in order before Evie comes, I figured I should update this more frequently too. No loose ends!!! :)

05/07 - Happy 1st Birthday Avery!! Sean had a playdate with Aiden, Liam, Rory & his friend Amanda while daddy & I went to see Uncle Billee's band with my Amanda & Dan. :) He had a great time, ate lots (surprise!!) and he's been asking to go back. 05/08 - We went to lunch at Unos for Grandpa Larry's fundraiser. Sean & daddy went home for a nap while I went to Carter's 2nd birthday party. I picked up Sean & daddy afterwards & we went to the Bishops to celebrate Avery's birthday. 05/09 - Happy Mother's Day!!! Sean & daddy brought me cards & gifts in bed this morning. Sean got me gummy bears, but managed to eat the whole bag himself by the end of the day. :) We went to Maranatha for the "kiss & a rose" ceremony. Sean got to give Grandma Sue & me a rose. We went to lunch afterwards with Grandma Sue, Grandpa Larry & Uncle Scott. We finished the night with dinner at Grandma & Puppas. Sean stayed & played with Grandma (I'm pretty sure they did a lot of rolling on the floor - they get silly when they're together :) while daddy & I went to Babies R Us to get some odds & ends for Evie. 05/10 - Sean & daddy came with me to my 38 week check up. They waited in the waiting room during my exam & when I came out, Sean asked "where's my sticker?". He's such a creature of habit!! We had to go back through the out door to check out & get a sticker for him. 05/11 - We were suppose to go to a Tigers game, but it got postponed due to rain. Sean was devastated because at 3, he doesn't have a full grasp of "postponed". So, we went bowling instead to lift his spirits and it worked. He had fun. On the way home, he asked me to tell the story about the night. He added a part I "missed" part of the way through about how I "yelled" at him when he stepped on foul line. I said, "I didn't yell at you. I just told you that you could fall & you don't get points when you step on that line." He replied, "Well you gave me crazy eyes or something." Nice... :) 05/12 - Daddy came home from work at noon & we went to the Tigers game that was postponed from the night before. Everything was perfect. It was about 55 & cloudy - but no wind or rain, the game lasted about 2 hrs & 10 min, we were in our seats for everything eventful that happened in the game, the hotdogs were fresh & the Tigers won. I really wanted to have one more opportunity to take Sean to a game before Evie came & it was everything I wanted it to be!! 05/13 - Sean went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's. Daddy & I went on a dinner date & then picked him up. He was in a loopy mood, but very tired once we got home. Sugar high??? 05/14 - Sean stayed with Grandpa Jim while I visited Ms. Kris for the last time at Beaumont. She's home & resting now as her & baby Caden are doing well!! That night we celebrated Avery joining the Bishop family with an open house at the church. 05/15 - Daddy & I had Ignite training at the church, so Sean spent the morning with his grandparents. He started the morning at Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's playing Candy Land (he always wins!!!) and we picked him up at Grandma's house. They were outside by the "dragon bushes" and Sean had to water all the plants. They drew lots of pictures on Puppa's driveway with sidewalk chalk too. The resurrection story, I think, inspired by Sean. :) After nap, we went to the park with Dani and then to Sonic where Sean discovered "Deep Sea Tot" toys. We now have the whole collection! 05/16 - Chase came home with us after church. We went to see Ms. Toni for lunch with daddy & Grandpa Jim. Afterwards, daddy went fishing with Puppa. Sean & Chase played until around 3:30 when we went to the park by Grandma's house & then to Grandma's for dinner. The boys sat at a "kiddie" card table & giggled through dinner. A little dangerous when there are mini carrots involved, but no choking occurred - yay! We finished the night at the last FX until fall. 05/17 - Sean got "Where is God When I'm Scared", a Veggie Tales movie, from Grandma. We've watched it about a hundred times since. Maybe this will help him sleep in his own room??? I picked him up from Susie's after my 39 wk appt & when daddy got home we went to El Charros for dinner. 05/18 - After work, we went to Grandma & Puppa's for chicken soup. Well, Sean had a bologna luchable & fruit twist - staples in his diet. Sean & Grandma played while daddy & Puppa got some fishing stuff together & then me, daddy & Sean went to Blossom Heath to fish. It didn't last long because it was cold & the worms "acskadentally" got rolled into the water. No bites anyway, so we'll have to try again another time. Sean-isms for the day - "Just because I don't like you sometimes, doesn't mean I don't love you!". This after I took his marbles away for hitting Dani in the head with them. He said I was mean & he didn't like me, but when I was getting him dressed, he hugged me. I asked why he was hugging me if he didn't like me and that's what he came back with. :) Then, at night, he was reciting his memory verse, part of the 23rd Psalm & he incorporated a little "How to Train Your Dragon". "Eventhough I walk through the valley of the shadow of the Red Death...". I love him!!! 05/19 - After grocery shopping with Grandpa Jim, we went to Liam's house. The boys played with Sean's new Hot Wheels car wash, ate lunch, jumped on the trampoline, etc. We went home & napped. Before nap Sean was watching tv and he asked me if it was almost over. I asked if he wanted to watch something else & he said, "Well, you should probably turn on baseball. It's the only way I'm going to fall asleep." Seriously, he's awesome. 05/20 - Today is my last day of work - so hopefully we'll have a baby soon. After work we're going to dinner for Uncle Marty's birthday. Happy Birthday Uncle Marty!!

Let the countdown begin!!

I figured I should probably update since baby Evie is due to arrive very soon. That and Grandpa Jim sent me "hate" mail threatening my life if I didn't update. ;) Something like that...

04/13 - After work, we went to visit Grandpa Nick in the hospital. Aunt Sally was there too. Eventhough we bought gummy bears in the gift shop to keep Sean busy, he still wanted to check out all the machines (IV, blood pressure, etc). I guess that's a good thing since he's going to be a doctor & professional ball player some day. :) 04/14 - Sean went to play with Angelina, Brianna & Ethan while I visited Ms. Jessica. We only had 1 "I'm not sharing" episode & it involved his Lightening McQueen cars. Could've been much worse, right? He had a great time. 04/15 - Sean went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's while daddy & I stayed at the Mach's for dinner. When I picked him up, he was a loving little angel. I brought him a book & he told me I was a good friend to him for that. :) That night, we lost power to 70% of our house. :( 04/16 - We went to the zoo with Grandpa Jim, Aunt Annette, Connor, Ella & Adrianna. It was the perfect day for the zoo. About 65 & breezy. When we came home, daddy & Mr. Ron were working on restoring power to our house. After about 3 hours, they found a loose wire & power returned, yay! Sean was concerned about his tvs not working. But, we watched Puff the Magic Dragon on the laptop, so no major crisis! 04/17 - We met Aunt Mary for breakfast. Afterwards we went to Kroger where Sean insisted he'd find Cars and sure enough, he did. Too bad he thinks he'll find new ones EVERY time now... After nap we went to see "How to Train Your Dragon". Sean loved it, but still gets a little restless at the end of a long movie. If only movies were about 1 hr - 1hr & 10 min. That would be perfect. We hung out with Great Gram that night while Puppa & Grandma went on a date. After Grandma & Puppa's date, we hung out & played with Sean's new suitcase from Aunt Mary. Grandma & Puppa made Sean's cars appear & disappear with the "magic" suitcase. 04/18 - Chase came over after church. Sean & Chase get a long & play SO well together. It gives daddy & I a chance to get stuff done on a Sunday afternoon! We met the rest of the Machs, Grandpa Jim & Paiger at FX that night & finished the night at Leason's. 04/19 - Daddy went to the annual condo meeting with Grandpa Jim while Sean & I had a mommy/Sean night. He started the night by dancing with me to "She Talks to Angels" by the Black Crowes (a song I played every day from 32 weeks on while pregnant with him). He laid his head on my shoulder & played with my hair. Truly an amazing "mom" moment. 04/20 - After work, we went to visit Grandpa Nick. Sean got a chocolate chip cookie from the snack lady & smiles from everyone he saw. He seems to have that effect on people. :) 04/23 - We went to dinner with Ms. Amanda, Rory, Aiden & Liam, Ms. Cathy, Mr. Dan, Alex & Dominick. The boys played great together. Amanda & I have been friends since we were 11, so it was pretty cool to watch our sons play together. :) 04/24 - Small group at the Mach's. Dinner & bible study. We started at 4:00 so I could get to Kim's & visit Cathy again before she headed back to PA. Sean & daddy stayed at the Mach's til after 9:00! Sean struggled this day with telling us when he had to go poop on the potty. He does great for months & then seems to try to hold it in or wait too long to tell us for about a week. Growth spurts??? Whatever it is, it's very frustrating as a parent! 04/25 - We met Grandma, Puppa, Aunt Mary, Scott, Uncle Mike, Aunt Nicole, Dave, Austin, Livie, Jax & Mikey at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth. Sean LOVED the swimming pools there because most of them were about 2 1/2 ft, so he could stand/walk. He's not a big fan of "swimming" or not being able to touch the bottom yet. He got marbles from the gift shop & played LOTS of video games too. 04/26 - Sean cashed in his tickets from playing video games & one of the things he got was a race car with the number "88" on it. He picked that one for Grandpa Nick because that's how old he was. We planned on visiting him on Tuesday. On the way home from Frankenmuth, however, we got the call that our Grandpa Nick had passed away. It's a very difficult concept for a 3 year old because he knows that heaven is a great place, but he doesn't understand why Grandpa Nick is no longer here & why everyone is so sad. Sean did really good with everything though. And, he was very loving when we went to visit Grandma Sue. 04/27 - We went to dinner with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry. Sean is the perfect medicine for a broken heart. He's guaranteed to put a smile on your face when you're sad! 04/28 - Sean went to Chase's house & the Machs brought him to us at the funeral home after his nap. He went up to the casket & even explained to Chase that that was Grandpa Nick's "old" body & he was with Jesus in his new body. :) Sean stayed at the funeral home for about an hour and a half and then went home to play with Grandma until daddy & I got home after the viewing. 04/29 - Sean hung out with Uncle Marty & Alex while daddy & I went to the funeral. They met us at the luncheon afterwards and then we went home to take a nap. It had been a long few days. That night, Sean went back to Grandma Sue's to play with her & cheer her up again. He bought her Fritos & juice boxes. Yep, just for her! ;) 04/30 - I missed 2 days of work this week, so I went into work for a 1/2 day. Sean went to Chase's house. I picked him up & we met daddy for lunch. After lunch we took a nap & waited for daddy to get home. He cleaned out my van which was FILLED with stuff for Evie. That night we went to Walmart to get bins to organize all of Evie's new stuff. Sean got a dragon prize while we were there too! 05/01 - Sean went to hang out with Grandpa Larry while I went to the ladies tea at church with Grandma & Grandma Sue. After nap, Aunt Annette, Rachel, Connor & Ella came over to help go through & try to organize all of Evie's clothes. We finished the night at Aztecas. Sean doesn't eat mexican food (other than nacho chips), so I brought him almonds. He wouldn't even eat fried ice cream because it was rolled in cereal. He like ice cream & likes cereal, but the two combined made for a weird texture & he wasn't having it (daddy's boy!!!). 05/02 - We celebrated Mother's Day with Grandma. Everyone came to church and then we went to Olga's for dinner. Chase came home with us after & the boys played until 6:00. Sean was so upset when it was time for him to leave & said, "but we didn't even get to play a little...". All this after 4 hours of straight playing. Tough life the kid has... 05/03 - After work, we fought traffic to get to Grandma & Puppa's for a quick dinner before going to crafts at the nursing home. Even quick dinners test Sean's patience, especially since he ate already at Aunt Susie's. Good thing Grandma didn't mind rushing through a few bites, so she could play marbles before we left. ;) At the nursing home there was a lady named Sylvia & she was having a tough night. But, everytime Sean would talk to her or wave at her, she'd smile. He's really good at making people smile. He says it's because he's cute. Jason said he wished he was cute so people loved him that much, to which Sean replied, "I'll share with you, I have plenty!". :) 05/04 - I wasn't feeling good after work, so we got something to eat and then I went home to lay down. Sean came into the bedroom to check on me and he told me that he was helping daddy wash the dishes to take care of me. I love him! 05/05 - Aunt Mary met us at my 37 week ultrasound so Sean could see baby Evie on the screen. When he came into the room, he stood right by my head & held my hand again. And he said, "you're doing a good job, mommy!". He's my babe. He told me he's my babe & babes take care of their mummas. Don't think I could love him any more. Aunt Mary dropped Sean off to Grandpa Jim while I went for my check up. Afterwards, Sean & I went to visit Ms. Jessica. We were both tired after, so we went home to nap. After nap, Sean helped me grocery shop. We came home, ate dinner & finished the night at church where Sean made me a perfect Mother's Day card. :) 05/06 - Tonight Sean & I are hanging out at the Mach's while daddy finishes his last night of bowling for the season. Woo-hoo!!

Time flies when you're having fun!

I'm suprised I haven't received any hate mail from Sean's admirers! Usually after a couple weeks of not blogging I hear something. Guess I'm ahead of the game!

03/15 - Sean & daddy came to my 30 wk appt with me. In front of the doctor he said, "If that doctor hurts you, you call me, I'll be right out here!". He's a great protector!! 03/17 - Daddy & I took the rest of the week off to get as much done around the house as possible. Sean spent lots of time with all of his grandparents over the 4 days we kicked butt around the house. He spent time with Chase at Ms. Christie's too! Aunt Mary was in the hospital again, so we visited her. Sean picked out a smiley face balloon to make her feel better. 03/18 - The Bishops escorted Avery home - congratulations!!! We were so excited to finally meet her!!! 03/19 - My friend Katie was here from IN, so we went to Kim's to visit. Sean had a lot of fun playing with all the kids. He really loved Jordan! 03/21 - Sean hosted Grandma's 52nd birthday party at Uncle Mike & Aunt Nicole's. He threw her a Cars party & bought her a Mack!!! He's so considerate!! :) We finished the night at FX. 03/22 - We had dinner at Grandma & Puppa's. I decided I didn't want to mess with all the hard work we did at the house, so we found other houses to eat at. Who better to feed you than your parents right? ;) 03/23 - This night we ate at Grandma Sue's. She asked to have Sean & I said, sure, if you make us dinner!!! I was kidding of course, but it worked! 03/24 - Sean went with me to visit Ms. Jessica. He loved playing with Kelso (one of her yorkies) and Kelso loved him! The weather was beautiful so before church Sean & I played with a bubble grill he got for his birthday in the backyard. When daddy got home, we ate PB&Js (not Sean of course - only kid I know who won't eat peanut butter!) and then went to church. 03/25 - We went up to the bowling alley to see daddy. Sean & daddy bowled a game together before we had dinner with Uncle Marty, Aunt Val, Alex, Nathan & Jonathan. After dinner we watched daddy bowl a few frames. Sean asked me where my bowling ball was & I said that I swallowed it. He looked at me, confused & said, "you told me that was Evie!". I lub him. 03/26 - Happy Birthday to Grandma!!! Sean stayed with Grandpa Jim while daddy & I met Grandma & Puppa for dinner to celebrate her birthday. 03/27 - After disagreeing with daddy about it for weeks, we got Sean's hair trimmed. Daddy like his hair long & crazy, but I convinced him that we needed humidity to make the curls come out. Afterwards we went to Macomb Mall to see the Easter bunny, but he didn't stop there this year. That night we went to the Mach's. 03/28 - Happy Birthday to Jesse! We went to Uncle Marty & Aunt Val's to celebrate Nate's 2nd birthday. Chase came with us & the boys played in the basement the whole time. 03/29 - I had a 3:20 ultrasound appt. Sean & daddy came with me. Sean walked into the ultrasound room where I was laying on a table with goop on my belly. He looked concerned, stood right by my head, grabbed my arm & said, "don't be scared, mommy, I'm here". My precious little angel. I had my 32 wk check up after that, so I thought my boys would leave, but Sean said he didn't want to miss them taking my blood pressure (his favorite part!). 03/30 - Sean went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's after Ms. Christie's house. Daddy & I met him over there & had bacon after work. 03/31 - Sean stayed with Grandpa Jim while I went to the grocery store. Then, he & I met Ms. Christie & Chase at the Bishops to play with Avery. Avery loved Sean! And, he was nice to her!! He sometimes struggles with "babies" because they climb on him and he's not very patient with them. :( After the Bishops we visited Ms. Jessica & Kelso. :) Church at night. 04/01 - After work we met daddy at the Machs, had dinner & then took Sean & Chase to the Warren Community Center. I was so proud of the boys. They were scared of the bucket, but with daddy's help BOTH of them went under where the bucket dumps out & loves it. They weren't directly in the water, it was more like watching a waterfall. I know they were scared, but both of them tried it & they both loved it. That's bravery! 04/02 - Sean hung out with Grandma Sue in the morning & Grandpa Jim at night. Daddy & I worked hard to get the basement in order for Easter. 04/03 - We continued our work on the basement. Grandma & Puppa came over at night to dye Easter eggs with us. Sean told Puppa the whole Easter story using his resurrection eggs. I'm so proud of him. 04/04 - Happy Easter! He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!! We went to church & Sean made it a point to tell Puppa that Duke beat West Virginia the night before. He said, Puppa, I tried to tell you yesterday. :) Everyone came to our house after church. We did an egg hunt, basket hunt, ate dinner, etc. It was a long, full day celebrating with family. 04/05 - We had dinner at Grandma & Puppa's. Daddy picked us up from there & we went to putt putt. Sean told me that it's not whether you win or lose, it's about having fun. He teaches me so much! ;) Good thing he had a healthy outlook on it, because daddy whooped him! 04/06 - Daddy & Sean met me, Grandma & Aunt Mary at Macomb Mall. I had to find an outfit for our upcoming mommy & me photo session. Note to self: Sears sells Lightning McQueen cars!! Danger!!! 04/07 - Nancy was out of town, so Sean went to Susie's & I worked a 1/2 day. I picked Sean up and we went to DSW & Meijer then met daddy at Logan's for dinner. Sean shared the cars he brought with 3 little boys while we were waiting for our table. That night I told him we could take the change he got in his eggs & go put it in his piggy bank. He told me he wanted to give the money to the "babies". He wanted their mummas to buy them something nice (and food!). What a sweet hearted little boy. I told him he didn't have to give all of his money to the babies. He could keep some & give some away. He said, ok, but I want to give them the pretty money. I'll keep the yucky money. :) 04/08 - Sean went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's while I got my nails done & hair cut for our photoshoot. We met at home & spent some time playing before bed. 04/09 - Sean stayed with Grandpa Jim while I went to the doctor & to visit Ms. Kris. After nap, we just hung out. Spent quality time with daddy because he went up north all day the next day. 04/10 - We (me, Sean & Grandma) met Ms. Stefanie at Dodge Park to take our mommy & me pictures. It was cold, but Sean was a trooper. Hopefully Ms. Stefanie was able to get some pics without Sean's teeth chattering. After that we went to Ms. Jessica's shower at the church. Sean left early to play with Grandma. I picked him up from Grandma & Puppa's afterward. Poor baby was flying a kite & it flew right out of his hands. He doesn't do well with stuff "flying away". Puppa ran to the store to get him a new one. He was excited about the kite, but no way was he touching it again. And, he made sure Puppa knew not to let go!!! We went to the Mach's after that. Then, daddy met us at home. We missed him all day! 04/11 - Chase came over after church. They boys played trains & we went putt putt. All of the Mach's joined us for pizza last night. 04/12 - I have my 34 wk appt at 5:45 today. Hopefully Sean can stay with me to see the blood pressure part!! :)

My little angel...

I'm so thankful that Sean has such an awareness of God. I know part of that comes from us doing devotions with him, praying with him & taking him to church. But at 3, he has such an understanding of what a relationship with God is. It makes me so proud!!! Grandma asked him one time if she could have his ears & he told her no because he needs them to listen to God. On Saturday he heard a song & said, "Mommy, I know one thing, that I love you". I told him that makes me so happy. Then he said, "Do you know what that one thing is?". I was a little confused, but I asked what? He said, "That I love God". :) He's always telling us how much he loves us & he even referred to Evie as his bestfriend. :) He asked how much I loved him & I told him all the way to heaven. He said, "I wish I could go to heaven cause I want to see Jesus!". He asked me all about heaven & one thing I told him was that the streets are made of gold. He asked how we'd walk on them and I say, maybe golden shoes? He said, no, that would be uncomfortable...how about slippers? :) Then about 5 minutes later he said, "I can't wait to go to heaven to walk on those golden streets!". My heart just overflows!!! Yesterday, Chase came over & at one point Sean got out his "gospel cube" (a way to tell the gospel story using pictures) and showed Chase the last picture. He said, "You go to church, read your bible, pray & tell the world about God. Then you can go to heaven to live with God!". What an awesome thing for Jason & I to hear in the other room. I love love love him & I'm so thankful for his kind, open, heart!! On a little bit different note, he's so amazingly loving! He told me I'm a the best mommy in the whole world because I helped him open his candy! He tells us that we're a good mommy & a good daddy all the time. He's always telling us he loves us. He tells me not to be scared when daddy's not there because he'll protect me! He's going to be such a great protector & provider - praise God!!!

Spring is in the air!!!

Amazing how we had a big snow storm & built a snow man 2 weeks ago. It's 54 today!!! Woo-hoo!!!

02/13 - Sean requested a play date with "his" Amanda, so daddy & I "gave in" & planned a dinner date with our small group. We went to Peabody's - yummm. Sean & Amanda played. I told Amanda he was done with sweets for the night. While we were gone he picked up the orange tic-tacs on the counter & said, "I'm pretty sure these aren't candy...". He thinks he's so slick. 02/14 - Happy Valentine's Day!!! I spent the day with my boys - great day!! Church, nap, Blockbuster to rent a Cars game for the DS & we finished the night with dinner at Sajos. Sean had everyone cracking up because everytime a waiter would light saganaki, Sean would yell, "Opah!!". :) 02/16 - We had dinner at Grandma & Puppa's. Sean & Grandma played on the computer, but Sean's night wasn't complete until he jumped on Puppa's bed (and Puppa :). 02/17 - We have pretty much everything Cars you can buy from Meijer and Super Kmart, so we, along with Grandpa Jim, decided to try Super Walmart. As we drove by, Sean said, "It's beautiful!". He makes me laugh. We brought lunch to Great Gram afterwards. The rest of the day consisted of nap & church...our normal Wednesday routine! 02/18 - Sean spent the evening with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry and then met me at Carter's house. The boys play so well together! 02/19 - Sean went to cousin Nicole's to play with Angelina, Brianna & Ethan while I visited Mrs. Jessica who's on bedrest. Aunt Nicole said he played great with his cousins! That night, me, Sean & Daddy met Mrs. Grace & Mr. Bill at Zion for a square dance. We were a little worried that Sean would be bored, but he was a blast!! He's quite the square dancer! He even talked to the "caller" to tell him that one of the songs he played said "garden gate" and that's in his favorite song from Cars, "Life is a Highway" (which Sean sings a MEAN rendition of). 02/20 - We met Grandma for breakfast & then headed out to Uncle Mike & Aunt Nicole's. Sean played with the big kids & cuddled next to Max to watch him play DS. He wasn't too interested in baby Mikey. I kept telling him, we're going to have one of these soon!! After nap, me, daddy & Sean went to Great Lakes Crossing. There were an INSANE amount of people there. But, GLC has the only Disney store that sells Frank (the combine from Cars), so the night was productive!! 02/21 - We went to church & then FX at night. Daddy was on the big screen this FX - his big screen debut!! Grandma, Puppa & Grandpa Jim were there too. Sean played cars with Chase. He couldn't wait to show him his new Frank. 02/22 - LOTS of snow. We were suppose to do crafts at Father Murrays, but because of the weather, we just came home after work. Sean, Daddy, Dani & Kiara built an awesome snowman. Sean loved playing in the snow & so did Dani! 02/23 - After work, Uncle Marty came over to caulk the tub. I had a bad headache, so Sean watched Disney Pixar "shorts" with me. He was such a good boy! He takes good care of me. He said he saw rain clouds in the sky and told me not to be scared because he'd hold my hand if it stormed. He told daddy that if he wasn't home, daddy would have to do it. :) 02/24 - We went grocery shopping with Grandpa Jim and then over to Connor's. The boys played & the mommies ate thai food...yum! Before church that night, we went to visit Puppa. Sean brought his Cars book & they read while I visited with Great Gram. 02/26 - Sean hung out with Grandpa Jim while I went to visit Mrs. Jessica & Mrs. Kris in the hospital. That night we brought dinner to the Linengers and Mrs. Gretchen had gotten Sean a Lightning McQueen Pez (she must've known the way to his heart!). Sean brought his Pez to Uncle Marty & Aunt Val's because we brought them dinner after Uncle Marty's shoulder surgery. Sean shared his candy with Alex & Nathan - such a good boy! 02/27 - We went to breakfast with Aunt Mary. I went to Sam's with Aunt Mary afterwards while Sean & daddy went home to play. We went to the Mach's for small group that night. 02/28 - After church, we went to Tyler's 4th birthday party at Caesarland. Sean did great for not having a nap. Just one little meltdown after Tyler opened his presents. I was impressed! 03/01 - After work, me, daddy & Sean went to Texas Roadhouse to see Elmo. Sean jumped out of his seat, hugged Elmo & took a picture with him. He's such a big boy!! 03/02 - After work, Aunt Mary & Bella came over so daddy could do Aunt Mary's taxes. Sean & I played his new Cars karaoke cd & danced & sang. He sings those songs SOOOOO good!! Mary was blown away when she heard him say, "Mozambique". :) 03/03 - Classic Wednesday - grocery shopping with Grandpa Jim, lunch with Great Gram, nap, dinner with daddy & church. :) 03/04 - I went to Aunt Mary's while Sean hung out with Grandma Sue & Paiger. I brought him a Cars sticker book & he said, "Mommy, you're such a good friend for giving me this". He is such a sweet little boy. He tells me & daddy all the time how much he loves us. It's usually 66 (for route 66 in the movie), but to him, that's A LOT!!! :) 03/05 - Grandma, Puppa & Great Gram came over for dinner. Sean got to show Puppa all of his dance moves & then he chose to set the timer for 46 minutes after dinner to play with Grandma. 03/06 - We met Grandma for breakfast & then came home to get some stuff done around the house. We cleaned, played, hung out, went for a walk. A low-key kind of day. :) 03/07 - After church, Sean was anxious for some one to play with. It was a beautiful Spring day. After nap, we picked up Chase & brought him to our house for a playdate. Sean LOVED having a friend to play with. They played cars for hours! I loved listening to them laugh & play together. How cool... 03/08 - Tonight we're meeting Amanda, Rory, Aiden & Liam at BK for dinner. Can't wait!! Sean loves playing at BK, but he always wants some one there to play with him...how perfect!!

Yes, I do. Figured I'd title this with a Mater line from Cars, because that's our whole life these days. :) Less than a month & I'm updating - not bad!!

01/20/10 - We went to cousin Nicole's house to play with Angelina, Brianna & Ethan. The girls were there for about an hour & then had to go to school. Sean had a blast playing with them & jumping on the trampoline. Ethan was nice enough to let us borrow a car that he had that Sean didn't have yet (suprisingly...). Daddy had jury duty but made it out just in time to come home & nap with us (coincidence? I think not... :). 01/21 - I picked Sean up from Ms. Christie's & we went to Carter's house for pizza. The boys play so well together. Carter likes cars too! 01/22 - We went to Connor's house in the morning. It's been a play date kind of week!! That night, me, Sean & Daddy took Sean's change (really change that daddy leaves around the house & mommy scoops up & puts in Sean's coke bottle bank :) and cashed it in a Kroger. We took that money & went to Kmart to buy a car. We finished the night with dessert at Big Boy. 01/23 - We met Grandma, Great Gram, Aunt Mary & Scott. After, we took a train set Sean got for Christmas back to the Whistle Stop. The train store actually sold Disney cars. Very few, but Sean found a set he didn't have. We stopped by Grandpa Nick's on the way home. That night, we visited Grandma, Great Gram and then Grandma Sue. 01/25 - Today was a sad day. Grandma took Reagan to the vet after she had a VERY sick weekend. Grandma was given no hope that she would recover or that she could be treated, so Grandma had to put her down. Sean hasn't asked yet, but I'm hoping if & when he does that we'll have the right words to explain why she isn't here. :( 01/26 - We went to dinner at Grandma & Puppa's. It was nice for them to have Sean, full of energy, there to ease the pain & silence of Reagan's absence. 01/27 - We went to Chuck E. Cheese's with Grandpa Jim. Sean saw a Disney's Cars set up high on a shelf, behind a bunch of other prizes. It took awhile for us to find what he was talking about. Leave it to him... 01/28 - Sean went to bingo with Grandma Sue, Uncle Scott & Paiger. He had a blast! He told me that only him & Paiger won a prize. He seemed ok with that though. :) 01/29 - Happy Birthday to Austin!! We went to visit Aunt Nicole because she was resting, trying to keep baby Michael in for a few more days. Sean & Jackson played cars together. That night, Grandpa Jim came over while mommy & daddy went on a date. 01/30 - We met Grandma for breakfast. After breakfast, we went to Ms. Gretchen's. Sean played with Ms. Gretchen, Kevin & Megan in the basement. He keeps asking to go back! After that, we went to see Uncle Billy at the Eastpointe Fire Station. Sean's favorite part was squirting the fire hose. He didn't like the poll that the firefighters slide down though. That night we went to the Mach's for small group. Sean did not like when the girls were chasing Chase. Chase informed him though, 'you have to understand, I'm going to marry [Carly] some day'. Ha! 01/31 - Daddy wasn't feeling good, so Sean & I went to church by ourselves. After church we got a call from Uncle Mike that Aunt Nicole was in the hospital & baby Michael was on the way. We picked up daddy & headed out to Armada to hang out with baby Jackson, so Cooki could go be with Nicole. Baby Michael Vito Savalle joined us that afternoon. He was 5lbs, 40z & 18 in long. Sean went to Grandma & Puppa's that night while Daddy & I went to the hospital to visit. 02/02 - We met Grandma Sue, Grandpa Larry, Grandpa Nick, Grandpa Jim, Uncle Scott & Paiger at Logan's for dinner. We had to wait for a table & the whole experience was almost 2 hours. Sean did great! 02/03 - Sean & I went to hang out with Jackson while his Grandma Cooki went to work. While we were there, Sean started running a fever. We stayed home from church because Sean's fever kept coming back. 02/04 - Daddy & Sean stayed home. They went to the doctor where Sean was diagnosed with strep. The doctor told Daddy he had an ear infection and possibly strep too. My poor babies. Sean & I hung out after I got home from work. We cuddled, read books, played, etc. My sicky baby was an angel. We didn't even know he was sick when his fever would come down. He doesn't like to miss anything!! 02/05 - Sean was feeling better and had 3 doses of antibiotic at this point, so we decided to go to see Elmo Live as planned with Aunt Annette & Connor. The boys did great. It was an hour & 45 minute show!! 02/06 - Happy Birthday to Jackson!!! We went out to Uncle Mike & Aunt Nicole's to visit and help get them situated. Sean loved playing with Hershey. :) We came home & took a nap. After nap, Daddy & I went on a date, so Sean went to Grandma Sue's. 02/07 - We took the day off to recover from all the sicknesses in our house. Grandpa Jim came over at night to play with Sean while Daddy & I watched the superbowl. 02/08 - Sean went to Grandma & Puppa's after work while I went to the doctor's. Daddy picked him up, but since he didn't know how long we'd be at the doctor's, Sean went to BK with Grandpa Jim. 02/09 - The snow started early today, so we all came home right from work & hung out. Snow day!!! 02/10 - We did our normal grocery shopping with Grandpa Jim, then took lunch to Great Gram. At night, I had Steph & Nichole's grandpa's (Smitty's) funeral, so Daddy & Sean hung out. They went to Meijers. Big mistake!!! Daddy has no will power, so they came home with a Disney race car set.

Can't even make excuses for not blogging in 2 months. I'm going to try & recap the holidays and do better from now on... :)

11/21 - Sean went with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry while Daddy & I started getting out Christmas stuff. He walked in the house, saw all the stuffed animals that make noise & said, "hey, you're missing Rudolph". He's amazing. Happy Birthday to Max!!! Yesterday was his birthday, but we celebrated it today with a party at Uncle Mike & Aunt Nicole's. 11/26 - Happy Thanksgiving!!! I went to Grandma & Puppas early afternoon & Sean & Daddy joined me after nap. Uncle Mike, Aunt Nicole, Max, Livie, Austin, Jax, Aunt Mary, Scott, Kenny & Brian were there too. Sean loved reading books with Grandma while we played cards after dinner. After cards, we went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's for bacon (Daddy & Sean were in their glory!!). Uncle Scott, Paiger & Grandpa Nick were there too. 11/27 - Sean went out with Grandpa Jim while Daddy & I got the rest of the Christmas stuff out. We went to the Mach's for small group later that night. 11/28 - We had dinner at Grandma & Puppa's. 12/02 - We took dinner to Mrs. Sue & her family dinner after her hip surgery. Sean loved playing with their black lab. No fear in that kid when it comes to animals. I stayed at Aunt Mary's with Grandma & cooked after that while Daddy & Sean went to church. Aunt Mary had to stay in the hospital for tests on her stomach. 12/04 - We went to Connor's & the boys played while the mommies made sauce...mmmm. We took dinner over to Aunt Mary & Scott that night. 12/05 - We went to Huckleberry Railroad with the Machs and Linenger kids. Sean struggled at first because it was cold & our train ride wasn't until 9:00 and it was 7:00. But, we went to see Santa & a reindeer & we rode a merry go round & crushed pennies. The time flew. Sean loved the train ride. He looked at the lights & sang Christmas songs the whole time. 12/07 - I had a regular check up for the baby after work, so Sean went to Grandma & Puppa's. Daddy & I went there for dinner afterwards. 12/08 - After work we went to Puppa's for dinner with him & Great Gram. 12/09 - We had our Christmas party with our Wednesday night class at church. 12/10 - We went to cousin Nicole's fundraiser at the Warren Community Center. Sean met Max the yellow lab from "Dogs Move Too" and got to see Santa again. But, Max totally over shadowed Santa that night. :) 12/11 - We went to Aunt Val's to play with Nathan & Alex. That night, Sean hung out with Grandpa Jim, Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry while we greeted at Light. 12/12 - Sean hung out with Amanda while we greeted at Light, then went to dinner with our small group. Sean cried when we got home because he didn't want to stop playing with his "friend" Amanda. I guess you know you did a good job when the kid doesn't want their parents to come home! 12/18 - We celebrated Christmas with our small group. The kids decorated cookies and played. The adults talked & did a white elephant exchange. Fun as always. 12/19 - We went to the zoo with Grandpa Jim for Breakfast with Santa. Sean did great and sat on Santa's lap with no problems. That night, we went to Aunt Sally's for Christmas. Dinner, presents, white elephant, etc. :) After Aunt Sally's, we stopped by Jason & Robyn's to visit with Ms. Pam & Mr. Chuck who were visiting from CA. Grandma & the Linengers were there too! 12/20 - Sean performed on stage twice. Other than some pushing, elbow throwing & hands in the mouth, he did a great job!! We recorded it and have the video to cherish for years to come!!! :) Too bad the hands in the mouth lead to the stomach flu later that night. But, it only lasted that night - praise God!! 12/21 - Happy Birthday to Daddy!!! Grandma Sue, Grandpa Larry, Grandpa Jim, Uncle Scott & Paiger came over for bacon. Sean got Daddy a Mack hauler for his birthday. Always thinking of others!!!! :) 12/23 - After work, I met Sean at the Mach's. Daddy & Mr. Tim delivered some presents to a family we sponsored while we played & ate pizza. 12/24 - We went to Aunt Pam's for Christmas Eve dinner. Grandma Sue, Grandpa Larry, Uncle Scott & Paiger were there too, along with Grandpa Larry's family. Afterwards, we went to Grandma & Puppa's. Amanda & Dennis were there too! That night we set out cookies & milk for Santa along with food & water for the reindeer. We read the Christmas story in the bible & the Night Before Christmas. 12/25 - We had to practically wake Sean up. Daddy & I were so excited!! Sean stopped by the table to see if Santa & the reindeer had eaten their treats. He had a blast opening presents & playing with his new Disney cars. Grandma, Puppa & Great Gram came over & brought more presents & played. After that, we went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's for more presents & breakfast. We went to see Alvin & the Chipmunks "The Squeakquel" after that with Grandma, Puppa & Great Gram. After the movie, we took a nap. Grandpa Jim came over at night with more presents & we finished the night at BBQ pit. Mmmmm...broasted chicken!! 12/26 - We left for Kalahari that afternoon. We met Grandma, Puppa, Uncle Mike, Aunt Nicole, Max, Livie, Austin, Jackson, Aunt Mary & Scott for a family vacation weekend. We stayed until 12/28. Sean loved playing in the room, sleeping on the bed with LOTS of pillows & of course, swimming!!! Aunt Mary won a lobster in a claw machine & we all experienced a false fire alarm at 1:00 am!! All of us except Sean, he slept right through the blazing alarm right next to his ear! 12/29 - Back to work for mommy :(. Sean & Daddy brought me lunch though, so it was tolerable. We went to dinner at Olgas that night. 12/30 - Sean & Daddy came with me to my ultrasound appt. Sean was an angel & he loved seeing the baby on the screen. The tech told us it's a girl, so Sean had to get used to saying "sister" instead of "Charlie Brown" or "brother". He talks to my belly & everything. He's going to be a great big brother!! At night we went to see Walking with the Dinosaurs. Sean's favorite part was the baby & mommy T-rex. 12/31 - Daddy & I worked a half day on New Years Eve. We were suppose to spend the evening with our small group, but plans changed. We had lunch with Grandma then went to Grandma & Puppas for lasagna. Aunt Mary & Scott came too. We dropped Sean off with Grandpa Jim & went & saw a movie with Mary & Scott. Sean fell asleep around 11:00. Daddy & I made it until just after the ball dropped! 01/02 - Sean went to Grandma & Puppa's while we went on a date. Lots of dates for mommy & daddy over the holidays! :) That night, I celebrated Christmas with my friends so Sean & Daddy made juice with my new juicer & put together Sean's Lincoln Log set. 01/03 - We went to the going away party for the Davidsons. We will miss them when they move to CA!!! 01/05 - Dinner at Grandma & Puppa's. 01/06 - Dinner at Aunt Mary's before church. Scott & Sean played cars :). Scott & Aunt Mary gave Sean some new Disney cars - the way to his heart these days!!! 01/07 - SNOW STORM!!! I picked Sean up from the Mach's instead of Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry. It took us an hour & a half to get home. Daddy didn't go bowling, so when he got home, we all went out & shoveled/played in the snow. It was awesome. :) 01/08 - Sean went to Target with Grandpa Jim to look for more Lightening McQueen stuff. They got Ramone's Paint Shop. 01/09 - We went to breakfast with Grandma then out to the Disney store. Later that night, Sean hung out with Mary & Scott while Daddy & I went to a wedding. 01/11 - Dinner at Grandma & Puppa's. 01/12 - BBQ pit with Grandma Sue, Grandpa Jim, Uncle Scott, Paiger, Mommy & Daddy. 01/13 - Dinner at Aunt Mary's, then church. 01/14 - Sean went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's after the Machs. After work, we went to mommy's friend Kim's house. Sean played with Carter & was in heaven with the Cooper & Lilly (2 BIG BLACK LABS!!). The boys played so well together. 01/15 - We went to lunch with Grandpa Jim & Great Gram. After lunch we went to Super K to check out their Disney car stuff. Lots of stuff Sean didn't have - big mistake!! That night Sean hung out with Grandpa Jim while mommy & daddy went to Big Boys for dessert. 01/16 - We went to breakfast with Grandma. That night we went to small group at the Mach's. Sean & Chase play so well together!!! 01/17 - Church, nap, FX & then Coney with Grandpa Jim. Which brings us to the present!!!!! 01/18 - Sean went to Aunt Susie's for a couple hours, but Daddy's off today, so it was Daddy day!!! Can't wait to get home & see my boys!
