Ok, so I'm a slacker. I've had a rough 7 weeks; early pregnancy is tough!! I know I'll get harrassed for this blog not being "thorough" but honestly, Sean's life hasn't been all that exciting (at least not with me). He's spent a lot of time with Daddy & his Grandparents, that's for sure!!
10/23 - I went to a girl's dinner at Stacy's house, so Sean stayed home & played with Daddy & Grandpa Jim. 10/25 - Happy Birthday Uncle Billee!! Sean made a recorded birthday card & he was SO proud of it. He kept saying, "Uncle Billee is gonna love this!". 10/28 - Sean & I had dinner with Grandma, Aunt Mary & Scott. Afterwards, we went to Aunt Mary's so Sean could play "race car" with Scott. 10/29 - Happy Birthday Grandma Sue!! Sean had his Halloween party at school. He dressed up as a conductor (thank you Mrs. Jenny!). He loved "trick-or-treating" in the classrooms. I picked up his pictures today too. What a handsome boy! We finished the night with dinner at Outback for Grandma Sue's birthday. 10/30 - Sean & I met Grandpa Jim, Aunt Annette, Connor, Ella & Adrianna at Chuck E. Cheese. They gave out 20 free tokens for Halloween! At night we went to Alex & Nathan's house. The boys (daddys too) played great together. :) 10/31 - We met Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry for breakfast & then Sean went to their house until nap time. After nap we went to Armada for Grandma's chicken soup & trick-or-treating. Sean only went to about 10 houses. He actually told a woman, "no thank you; I have enough candy" when she offered it to him. :) He loved playing with Austin's old trains at the house. 11/04 - We took lasagna to Kimmy's house & Sean discovered that Carter has a train table. Lots of adventures to be had there! We went to Puppa's to have dinner with him & Great Gram & then went to church. Happy Birthday Grandpa Larry! 11/05 - We went to dinner at Applebees to celebrate mine & Grandpa Larry's birthdays. Sean stole Grandpa Larry's birthday card because it was a Thomas card that went "beep beep". He was showing everyone, including the waitress. 11/06 - Sean went to work with Grandpa Larry then out with Grandpa Jim. I met Mrs. Robyn & Mrs. Gretchen for a mani/pedi & dinner at Macy's. After dinner, I picked up Sean & Daddy & we went to Grandma & Puppa's to pack shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Me, Daddy & Grandma did all the packing - Sean & Puppa mostly played. :) 11/07 - Happy Birthday Mommy! Sean spent the day with Grandpa Jim & then Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry. Daddy & I went to a leadership conference at church with Grandma & then out to dinner with our small group. 11/08 - After church Sean took me to see "Splish Splash Splosh" at the Emagine theater. It was his birthday present to me. :) After nap we went to Grandma & Puppa's for dinner. 11/10 - Sean spent his first day with Mrs. Christie & Chase instead of going to school. He loved it. Preschool was good, but Sean's not independent enough for it yet. We'll try 4 year old preschool next year. After work we had dinner with Puppa & Great Gram. 11/11 - Sean & I went to Aunt Mary's for dinner. He played race cars & Curious George on the computer with Scott. 11/12 - I went to dinner with friends for a belated birthday present. Sean went to the teen talent show at Maranatha with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry. 11/13 - I'm drawing a blank - I'll have to update if it comes to me... 11/14 - Sean & I met Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry for breakfast & then he went to their house to play. After nap we went to the Mach's for small group. 11/15 - After church, I had a wedding shower. Sean went out with Grandpa Jim while Daddy did some housework. After that, we all went to FX. This was the first FX that Sean sat through the whole service. Thanks Grandma, thanks Grandpa Jim!! 11/16 - I went to the Ladies Holiday Dinner at church. Sean & Daddy played, as always. Sean woke up when I got home, so we got to talk & cuddle for a little bit. It was awesome! 11/17 - After work, me, Sean & Daddy went to McDonalds & Meijer. Sean loves renting movies from the Red Box. It started with Dino Squad & went to Land of the Lost (which he can only watch on mute). 11/18 - We went to the Flint Children's Museum with Aunt Annette, Connor & Ella. Other than the drive with 2 toddlers, it was awesome. The boys had a blast! 11/19 - I'm going to a party at Aunt Mary's tonight, so Sean is hanging out with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry.

Why did we skip Fall & go right to Winter??
We've been so spoiled the past two years with beautiful autumns. I thought for sure after the mild summer we had that we'd have an indian summer for sure. Not so much... 10/07 - After Sean was called a girl twice while grocery shopping this day, I decided to take him for a hair cut. I didn't want all the curls chopped off, just a trim. He did not want to go, but he did great. I sang songs with him & it was over before we knew it! The trim just made his curls bounce up more! 10/08 - Sean sported his new hair-do for picture day. This is the first picture day I haven't taken him to. We'll see how his smile turned out on 10/29! After work, Grandpa Jim & Sean met me, Grandma & Daddy for dinner at Coney. 10/09 - We went to Chuck E. Cheese with Aunt Annette, Connor & Ella. Grandpa Jim met us up there too. That night was Uncle Scott's 40th Birthday party. Sean LOVED playing the drums and running around the church with his cousins. 10/10 - Sean went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's. When he came home he saw that a witch flew into our neighbor's tree (really a wooden "witch crashing into a tree" decoration that Grandma bought him). He was so excited. He was telling the neighbors and then later Grandma, Puppa & Great Gram came by so he could show them too. 10/11 - After church, Daddy & Sean went to the "pumpkin patch" or the pumpkin display at Utica & Groesbeck to buy pumpkins. He got one for me, Daddy and of course, him. Daddy's is decorated like a dog, mine is a bear and Sean's is a pig. :) 10/12 - We went to Grandma & Puppa's for dinner. After dinner, Sean & Puppa walked into the living room to read a book. It was dark, so Puppa turned on the light. Sean said, "Puppa, can I tell you something about God?". Puppa said, "Sure, I'd love to hear something about God". Sean then said, "It was dark and God said let there be light and the lights turned on!". Pretty amazing to hear your toddler tell the creation story. :) 10/13 - Sean went to Aunt Mary's while Daddy & I went to Daddy's great aunt Betty's funeral. Sean & Scott played the whole time. Sean didn't even want him to wash the dishes after dinner! He said, "hey Scott, what are you doing?". Like, play with me instead. 10/14 - While grocery shopping, we bought Thomas at the Sodor Works. Sean had to acquire donations from his grandparents before I'd buy it, but like that's a problem... Sean hung out with Grandpa Jim & played with his new toy while I went for my ultrasound (daddy met me there). I showed Sean the picture of "the baby in my belly" when I got home. A little weird and a big concept for him, so not much interest there. After nap, we went to visit Puppa & Great Gram before church. 10/15 - Happy 40th Birthday Uncle Scott!! Grandpa Larry picked Sean up after his nap at Aunt Susie's. Sean kept telling Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry that he missed his mommy, but when he came home, he went right for Thomas! :) 10/16 - We went to play at Connor's most of the morning. At night, I had a party at my friend Andrea's, so Sean hung out with Daddy & Grandpa Jim. 10/17 - We took Grandpa Jim to see Curious George "Alive" for his birthday. We got to sit in the mezzanine instead of WAY back in the gallery because they didn't sell a lot of tickets. Woo-hoo! Later that night we went to the Mach's. Happy Sweetest Day!! 10/18 - After church we went to Grandma & Puppa's with Uncle Mike, Austin, Livie, Max, Jackson, Aunt Mary & Scott to celebrate Grandma & Puppa's 30th wedding anniversary. Wow - what an awesome accomplishment! After dinner, we went to FX. The virtue this month is individuality. Sean's "homework" was to tell me & Daddy what's special about us. He did that the very next day. Turns out he thinks we're "really nice friends". :) 10/19 - Happy 30th Anniversary Grandma & Puppa! 10/21 - It was 70 deg today, so we went to the zoo with Aunt Annette, Connor, Ella & Adrianna. What an awesome day to be outside. And the zoo is all decorated for Halloween. Plus, Sean & Connor got to feed a giraffe! It was great. We finished the night with dinner with Grandma & Daddy, then church. 10/22 - Sean's hanging out with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry tonight (until he starts "missing his mommy" of course...).

Happy Fall Y'all
We celebrated Sean's 3rd birthday on 09/12. We had beautiful weather; truly the perfect day. We went to McDonalds for breakfast and then to Memorial Park. Sean was surrounded by friends & family. He was a little crabby because he woke up early & his nap was pushed back, but by the time Connor arrived, he was ready to party! After his nap, we opened all of his presents. We finished the night at McDonalds with Grandma, Puppa, Max & Jackson. 09/15 - Grandpa Larry picked Sean up from school & they went to see his work. Sean liked the elevator. He had to hold Grandpa Larry's hand so "he" wasn't scared though. ;) 09/16 - Sean had his 3 year old check up today. He's 39" and weighs 36.5 lbs. He had to get a hemoglobin count, which requires a prick on the finger and a flu shot. :( He wore his "brave patient" sticker all day. We went to the cider mill with Aunt Annette, Connor & Ella. It was perfect cider mill weather - 67 & sunny. The boys had a blast playing, picking apples, eating donuts & drinking cider. 09/17 - Happy Birthday Grandpa Jim!!! We all got together for dinner at Ram's Horn for Grandpa Jim's birthday. Sean took Grandpa Jim golfing afterwards for his birthday. Such a nice boy... 09/18 - Sean hung out with Grandma while I went to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen with good friends. Happy Birthday Aunt Annette! 09/19 - I did the baby walk with our small group in honor of Aubrianna Bishop, Paul & Jenny's daughter who passed away in 2007. Sean stayed with Grandma, then Grandpa Jim until I got home. After nap, Sean went to Grandma's while I went to dinner with Aunt Mary, Amanda & Scott to celebrate Amanda's 25th birthday. 09/20 - I was SO sick at this point. We were suppose to go to Angelina & Brianna's 4th birthday party, but I had a bad cold. Sean went to church with Grandpa Jim and after nap we went to the Mach's to start our Crazy Love study. 09/23 - Happy Birthday Mr. Barney!! After our normal routine of going grocery shopping with Grandpa Jim, we went to Chuck E. Cheese with Aunt Annette, Connor & Ella. The boys bicker, but they adore each other. I told Sean that Connor had to get a shot & we were taking him to CEC to cheer him up. Sean cried for a half hour and said, "I love Connor, he's my best friend, I don't want him to get a shot!". I told him he's a good friend. I wish it didn't upset him so much though. We had dinner at church with our small group and then Sean went downstairs to his "class". He loves being there on Wednesday nights. 09/24 - We had our weekly dinner at Ram's Horn. Sean got a head band with bats on it from Grandma. He loves halloween decorations. They scare him a little bit, but he loves them. 09/25 - We were at the Surgery Center at 7:00 am. Sean's ear tube surgery was a success!! It was tough for him to leave us and it was tough for him to come out of anesthesia. Other than that, he was great! We went to Connor's later that morning, Grandpa Jim came over for a visit early afternoon and then we went to Grandma's to visit & welcome Great Gram that evening. 09/26 - We went to breakfast and daddy & Sean searched for the perfect rock outside of Cracker Barrell. We stopped at the grocery store & then went to visit Great Gram & bring her soup. After our nap, we went to Mr. Barney's 60th birthday celebration. Sean was devastated that Aya's balloon flew up into the air. She didn't care, but Sean was sad for her. Such a tender heart. It took us over an hour to get home from 15 & Ryan because of construction. Urg... 09/27 - After church, we went to lunch to see Ms. Toni with Grandpa Jim & Paiger. 09/28 - We visited our friends at Father Murray's for crafts. Sean was ready to go home by the end of it. He said, "I don't want to go see the birdies with Daddy again. I want to go home!". Nuff said. 09/30 - We visited Great Gram and Sean dumped out all of her stuffed animals. He even took home a beat up german shepherd doll and told Gram he'd take good care of it. :) We went to dinner with Daddy & Grandma and then to church. 10/01 - Dinner at Ram's Horn - SUPRISE! After dinner, Sean went golfing with Grandma Sue, Grandpa Larry, Grandpa Jim & Paiger. He let Paiger win this time because she is his friend. It's very cold for early October, so tonight, I vote that we cuddle & watch movies. Wonder how that'll go over with Sean. ;)

Happy 3rd Birthday to Sean!!!
Right now I can't help but think how 3 years ago today, Jason and I were settled in at St. John's awaiting my induction the following morning. All night my hand ached from my IV and looking back I think how silly that was because the following day was excrutiating! September 12th, 2006 at approximately 9:20, my doctor broke my water and started the petocin drip. Not too long after, the contractions started - STRONG. She told me, don't try to be a hero, when you're ready, ask for your epidural. Around 11:00, I'd had enough of the piggy-backed contractions, so I ordered my epidural. Unfortunately, a few emergencies arose on the floor, so my epidural came about an hour later. I was terrified of the procedure, but done with the pain. The nurse who held my hands was very comforting & the epidural was a breeze. I was expecting total relief, but got numb legs below my contractions instead. They increased the numbing agent, hoping to alleviate my pain, but instead, my legs just became more numb. It was miserable. I felt the need to move my feet/legs, but couldn't and I was still feeling contractions. Around 4:00, the head anethisiologist (sp?) came in and did a spinal. Almost instant relief. I was able to relax. About 4:30, my "crew" (Daddy, Grandma, Puppa, Grandpa Jim, Grandpa Larry & Grandma Sue) left to get something to eat. Shortly after, my doctor came in, checked me & said, "we're ready to go!". I was EXHAUSTED!!! When Daddy and Grandma got in the room, the pushing started (I believe I started pushing on my own). It started at 5:21 and ended with a Sean at 7:51 pm. Our perfect baby was there. What an amazing blessing from God. How can we even try to make another kid because Sean is so perfect and how can you top perfection!?!?! Don't know why, but I'm super emotional this birthday. Good thing Sean & I have a deal though. He can turn 3 if he promises to continue to love, hug & cuddle me. :)

Back to School
After LOTS of harassment from the two most frequent readers (Grandpa Jim & Grandma), I'm posting. They really left me with no choice. ;)
Aug 10th - We went to downtown Ligoneer for toy shopping & lunch with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry before they headed home. After that, we headed to the Living Treasures Animal Park & Log Cabin to meet Mrs. Cathy & Alex. We had a blast and the boys LOVED the animal park (even after 5 visits!). Aug 11th - Me, Sean, Cathy & Alex went to Idlewild. The forecast for bad weather must've kept people away because it was pretty much empty. We were the only ones on the Mr. Rogers trolley - that's never happened. The boys loved it there too. Aug 12th - Cathy & Alex headed back to Mountain Top and we made our way back home. We decided to stop at Kalarhari for the night, which was a GREAT idea. Our room was amazing, the outdoor water park was amazing & Sean got to feed giraffes & ride a camel. We could've easily stayed there a couple more days. Aug 13th - We came home!!! Dani was so excited to see us! We met Grandma, Puppa & Grandpa Jim at Ram's Horn where Aunt Mary works. Aug 14th - Sean started collecting smooshed pennies while on vacation, so we went to Great Lakes Crossing to get all the designs from Rain Forest Cafe & Big Bass Pro Shop. He now has 22 different pennies! Aug 15th - We met Rory, Aiden, Liam & Erica for bowling with SpongeBob. It was great, but a little late in the afternoon and Sean got loopy without his nap. Aug 16th - I taught large group Ignite and then we spent the rest of the day recooperating from vacation & getting ready to go back to reality. Aug 17th - We went to the Mach's to celebrate Evan's birthday. Evan let Sean help him blow out the candles. Such a sweet boy! Sean had a blast playing with Chase. Aug 18th - Happy Birthday Aunt Mary!! Aug 19th - I went to visit Caleb Reese Jury, born Aug 18th to Tim & Nichole. Made me miss holding a little baby... Aug 21st - We went to the zoo with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry. Sean & Grandpa Larry were the train engineers that day. Grandpa Larry showed Sean the Artic Ring of Life and told him that he helped build it. Later that night, while out to dinner for Grandpa Nick's birthday, Sean told everyone that his Grandpa "built the zoo". ;) After dinner we went to Aunt Sally's for cake & ice cream. Aug 22nd - Happy 88th birthday to Grandpa Nick! We went to the Armada Fair with Grandma, Puppa, Uncle Mike, Max, Livie, Austin, Jackson, Aunt Mary & Scott. Sean loved petting the animals & even went on a giant slide with daddy. Brave boy... Aug 23rd - After church I went to the shower for Princess Ella & Sean went to the zoo with Grandpa Jim & daddy. That night, we went to Cathy's ice cream shop to see SpongeBob. Sean was pretty much the only kid there, so he danced & played with SpongeBob by himself for about an hour. The next couple days are a blur... Aug 27th - We went to Ram's Horn with Grandma because Aunt Mary was working. Aug 28th - We went to Waters, MI with our small group. Tim's uncle owns a beautiful house on the water. The weather could've been better for swimming, but it was a lot of fun. Sean LOVED playing with the kids ALL day & passing out from exhaustion at the end of it all. Aug 30th - We drove home from up north. I got home & got ready for Nancy & Munir's wedding; Daddy & Sean drove to the Brown's house to pick up "Mater" or daddy's "new" car. Sean loved playing with Kevin. Aug 31st - Dinner at Grandma Sue's & Grandpa Larry's. Bacon & jumping on the furniture. :) Sept 1st - Ella Ruth Wilson joined us at 2:43 am. Grandma & I went to visit her, Aunt Annette & Big Brother Connor at the hospital. Sept 2nd - We went to the park/splash zone & Burger King with Aiden, Liam & their mommy. That night we took a roast to Grandma & Puppa's for dinner. After dinner, me, Sean, daddy & Grandma walked up to Baskin Robbins & CVS. Sept 3rd - Sean's 3 year old preschool orientation. Wow - my baby's almost 3!!!!! After we met the teachers, dropped off the school supplies, checked out the room, etc. we went to Ram's Horn with Grandma to see Aunt Mary. After dinner, Sean & I met Grandpa Jim at Penney's so I could look for a dress. Grandpa Jim bought Sean a talking SpongeBob shirt. It's 2 sizes too big & long-sleeved, but Sean had to wear it to bed that night! Sept 4th - We went to Connor's to play & visit Ella. Then, we picked up Grandma & Puppa & went to the zoo to see the dinosaurs. No nap for the boys, so daddy was in for a treat that evening. I went to a wedding with Sue. Sean asked daddy to take him to Chuck E. Cheese, but he passed out on the way there. Daddy turned around & Sean woke up. Moral of the Story - Sean still requires a nap! Sept 5th - Daddy went up north with Uncle Marty to work on their cabin. Sean went to Grandma Sue's & Grandpa Larry's while I got some laundry done & the bathroom cleaned. After nap, we met Grandma at the Zielinski's for a BBQ. Sean desperately wanted to see Connor, so we went to their house & played for awhile. Sept 6th - We went to church & then to putt-putt. Sean saw the "animals" on the way home the night before & asked if we could go when they weren't sleeping. :) After nap, we went to Olgas for dinner & CVS. We cleaned out their stock on kid's flip-flops - 90% off!!! Sept 7th - Happy Labor Day! Sean went to the Maranatha picnic with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry. Daddy & I CLEANED & rearranged the house. When Sean got home he said, "hey, what did you do with all my toys?!?". Very observant. Grandpa Jim came over to visit at night. We popped popcorn & watched Dinosaur to end the long weekend. Sept 8th - Today was Sean's first day of preschool. He warned Jason & I that his worm may drop to the medium apple on the behavior chart because he sometimes tells his teachers no when it's time to pee or take a nap. He's too funny! He was so excited to see Connor there. He had no problem staying there without me. And, when I called at lunchtime to check on him, they said he was having a great day. He'll be 3 on Saturday...goes by too fast!

They made Sean a dog tag. 08/08 - We went to play games & miniature golf at Statlers. Sean rode the go-carts with Daddy & thought they went too fast. We ate lunch at Red Lobster & then napped. Sean spent the evening with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry & he had a blast! They went to the fair, to Burger King and then back to the hotel where they read books. 08/09 - We went to the flea market this morning while Grandpa Larry & Daddy went golfing. We stopped by Whitney to visit Aunt Mary, Uncle Frankie & Terry. We're headed to Gloria's for a BBQ soon. So excited that vacation lasts til next Wednesday!!

Why you mad for?
Sean's very aware of our reactions. If only he realized they're a result of his actions... He'll do something 10 times after being told "no". This leads to a blow up and then he'll say, "why are you mad at me?". We have to explain constantly that we're not mad at him, we're mad because he's not listening to us. Quite an adventure!
07/21 - Small group Tigers game. We had great seats. 200 level, out of the sun. The game was long & Sean lasted 3 or 4 innings. After a couple merry-go-round rides, he was done. It was fun though. 07/22 - We were suppose to see Elmo at Ram's Horn, but Elmo called in sick. So, Sean, Aiden & Liam ate ice cream and then we went to the dollar store to get yo-yos. The Elmo thing was disappointing, but we made the most of the night. 07/23 - Mexican food at Grandma & Puppas...yummmm. Adventures too of course. 07/24 - Daddy & Mommy had a date night while Sean stayed with Grandpa Jim. Everyone's happy!! 07/25 - Daddy went golfing with Grandpa Jim, Puppa & Uncle Billy at Grandpa Larry's golf outing. Sean & I went to the Warren Community Center with our small group. It was community day, so we all got in for free. Sean probably went down the slide 50 times then all of a sudden stopped, looked & me and said, "I'm hungry, I wanna go to mommy's house". Exhaustion must've set in. That night we went to Outback with Grandma & Puppa. Then, we went to Walmart to get Sid the Science Kid DVDs. The Mushy Banana is BY far our favorite. Sean can sing all of the songs word for word and we have fruit decomposing at our house. :) 07/26 - After church we just hung out around the house, cleaned & did laundry. Sean mostly played. 07/27 - Grandpa Jim cooked 5 lbs of bacon to celebrate Paige's birthday (she didn't eat any...but we still celebrated!). Grandma Sue, Grandpa Larry & Uncle Scott came too!! 07/28 - Sean played in the backyard with Kiara while me, Aunt Mary & Scott started tackling the garage. LOTS of work. 07/29 - We went to Family Skate Night at Great Skate with the church. Kiara, Rory & Paige came with us. Sean's skates were a little slick at first, but he did great after the wheels were tightened. He needs to work on sharing. Allison almost lost a finger trying to play with the same locker as him. Out of control! 07/30 - Grandma brought an apple with a carved face in a sealed container home for Sean. He was thrilled. After dinner at Grandma & Puppa's, we went to Kmart where they wanted $10 for a magnifying glass to "observe". Daddy found one at the $.99 store. Much better. 07/31 - I had a girls night dinner with my friends at El Charros while Daddy & Sean went putt-putt & then dug a garden. Not bad for a Friday night. 08/01 - We went to breakfast with Grandma & Puppa and then met Aunt Annette & Connor at Starr Jaycee park to ride the Great Lakes Live Steamer (or choo-choo train). Sean loved it. When we left the park, he said, "I had a really fun day guys". :) After nap, we picked up Aiden & Liam and met Annette, Marc & Connor for $.99 day at Sterling Lanes. Grandpa Jim came up too. The boys came back to play at the house for a little bit & Sean really struggled with other kids playing with his trains. We took Aiden & Liam home and Sean & Connor had a sleepover. They both had a blast. It's so cool to watch them interact. They laugh at the silliest things. 08/02 - Sean was so sad that Connor had to go home after church. He really wanted him to just stay forever. After nap yesterday, we went to Blossom Heath where Sean did amazing tricks while going down the slide. :) After dinner, Sean played in the basement while I started packing for vacation. We leave Friday - so excited!!!

The best of intentions...
I really do THINK about updating this all the time...
07/06 - Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry came over on their way home from visiting Grandpa Nick in the hospital. (Grandpa Nick is home & doing well after a pacemaker was put in) 07/07 - Happy Birthday Puppa!!! After work, we went to dinner at Grandma & Puppa's. Sean had fun with the cupcakes & as always, blowing out the candles. 07/08 - Grandma came over for dinner & to hang out with Seany. 07/09 - Daddy left for up north after work. :( We met Grandma, Aunt Mary, Sarah & Amanda for dinner at Olga's. I went to the doctors after dinner for a UTI & Seany went to Grandma's house to play. 07/10 - We went to the ENT for a checkup. The fluid is still behind Sean's ear drum in his left ear. So, he has to go back in for tubes. There's a very small chance that this water will go away on its own, but please pray that it does. We see the ENT on 09/18 - one week before the surgery is scheduled - and if the fluid is gone, we can cancel the procedure. After the appt, we went to breakfast with Aunt Paula. After breakfast, we went to Grandma's work to play Curious George on the computer. That night we met Connor & Aunt Annette at Red Robin. We went to Babies R Us afterwards and then Aunt Annette went to Kohls while me, Sean & Connor went to putt putt. We were suppose to go home after putt putt, but Sean desperately wanted to have an adventure at Grandma's, so we went there. Late night... 07/11 - Sean & I went to Great Lakes Crossing with Aunt Annette, Connor, Aiden & Liam. Sean passed out in the car on the way home, but only took a 20-30 minute nap and never fell asleep again. We went to dinner at Outback with Grandma. 07/12 - Seany went to church & came home with Grandpa Jim. Daddy came home around 1:00 & we were SO excited to see him. The night before I said, "I miss daddy". Sean replied, "Awww, don't cry. I will take care of you". :) 07/15 - We went to see "Horton Hears a Who" with Aunt Nicole (cousin), Angelina & Brianna. Sean did great. He usually loves climbing on the play area when we go out to GLC, but he was determined to be miserable because he couldn't ride the rides that cost $.75 a piece exactly when he wanted to. He's very strong willed! We went to Aunt Sally's afterwards & saw Aunt Amanda, Riley & Ella. That night we met Sue & her family at Ram's Horn to see Dora (kind of). Sean had a blast dancing with all the kids. 07/16 - We went to dinner at Grandma & Puppa's. Daddy was suppose to have a bowling tournament, but there weren't enough people, so he got home around 8:30. Yay! 07/17 - Grandma & Puppa came over for dinner. Sean was missing them. Grandma & Sean made a BIG mess with the moon sand. 07/18 - We went to breakfast with Grandpa Jim and then played at home until nap time. After nap, we went to the Bishops. Sean played outside with the kids the whole time. He was awesome. 07/19 - Happy Birthday Paige! Daddy & Sean went home with Grandpa Jim & Grandpa Nick from church because I had a baby shower. After Sean's nap, Daddy & Grandpa Jim dropped us off at Liam's 4th birthday party on their way to clean offices. Sean, Aiden & Liam had fun playing with all of Liam's presents. Last night, we just hung out around the house & played. Tonight, we're going to the Tiger's game with our small group. Hope the thunder storms hold off!! Weird July weather we're having! Happy Birthday to Livie yesterday and Uncle Mike today!

Busy, busy, busy
We are loving the Summer (eventhough last week's high was like 70) and staying very busy!
Last Wednesday (in addition to our regular routine), Sean & Daddy had a guys night while I went to my friend Andrea's for a girls night. On Thursday night, Sean, Daddy & I went to Olga's for dinner and then to the Silver Cinemas at Macomb Mall to see "Monsters vs. Aliens". It was Sean's first time in a movie theater. He lasted a full hour and loved getting his very own popcorn & drink. If the movie was Wubbzy or Caillou, I'm convinced he would've stayed the whole time. Daddy was home on Friday for the 4th of July holiday. We spent the morning together and then Sean & I went to Grandma's while Daddy & Grandpa Jim cleaned the offices. While we were at Grandma's, Uncle Frankie, Aunt Mary, Dakota & Katie arrived for their weekend visit. Sean was a little unsure of Uncle Frankie at first, but warmed up to him easily. I'm sure he reminds him of his Puppa. Sean loved Katie & immediately wanted her to play with him. That night, Max, Livie, Austin, Paige & Kiara came over to do a road rally. Sean stayed at Puppa & Grandma's cause I don't think he would've survived getting in & out of the car 10 times. After everyone went home, we went to Grandma & Puppa's for a bonfire. Saturday morning, Sean & I went to Great Lakes Crossing with Grandma, Aunt Mary & Katie. Uncle Mike, Max, Livie, Austin & Jackson met us there for lunch at Rain Forest Cafe. Sean was over tired when he got home for a nap at 3:00 and we had to wake him up at 6:30!!! We spent the 4th of July evening at the horse track. Sunday, after church, we went to St. Clair for Alan's graduation. Paula, Dan, Brittany & Ryan are here from Georgia until next week. It was like a graduation party/family reunion! Sean loved playing on the jungle gym there. He also went on a "nature walk" with Daddy. Last night, we went to dinner with Frankie, Mary, Dakota & Katie (along with Grandma & Puppa). They went to Cedar Point today & then headed back to North Carolina. Sean was relieved to stay home with Susie today. After a busy weekend and school last week, he was happy just to play on the deck in his blow up pool. :)

Can't keep up!
My goal is to blog once a week. Looks like I'm half way there!
06/17/09 - A bid was due late morning, so I came into work while Sean stayed home with Grandpa Jim. I met them & daddy at Barnes & Noble around lunch time. How convenient that they moved the train table RIGHT in front of all the toy trains for sale. I NEED to write this down, so we don't go back!! 06/18/09 - We went to Grandma & Puppas for dinner. Puppa makes artichokes all the time now - it's wonderful!! Sean's favorite part about going over there has nothing to do with artichokes. He likes going on adventures with Grandma. 06/19/09 - We went to Burger King & Dave & Busters with Puppa & Kiara. That night, Sean stayed with Grandpa Jim while Daddy & I went on a date. :) 06/20/09 - We went to Ethan's party, came home for a nap and then went to Brenden's graduation party. Good thing Mrs. Debbie had lots of extra swim trunks & little swimmers. Daddy & Sean had lots of fun swimming. E2 (Einstein the betta fish) died this morning. Sean noticed 4 days later that we'd gotten E3 as a replacement. He looked at the fishbowl & said, "Why did him get old?". I asked him what he meant and he said, "Well, look at him. He's a different color!". He's too smart. 06/21/09 - FATHER'S DAY!!! We met Grandpa Jim, Grandpa Larry, Grandma Sue, Grandpa Nick, Uncle Scott & Paige for breakfast. After church, me, Daddy & Sean went swimming and then back home for a nap. I made dinner at Grandma & Puppa's house and then me, Daddy & Sean went swimming again. Awesome day... 06/22/09 - We all went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's for bacon & couch jumping (well, Sean at least). 06/23/09 - After work, we went swimming & then to Eddie's drive-in. Sean LOVED sitting up front with me while he ate his food. He keeps asking to go back! 06/24/09 - The Ferrells are home!!! YAY!!! We went to visit Rory, Aiden & Liam. 06/25/09 - We got a huge storm & it took me & Grandma an hour & a half to get home from work - YUCK! We went to Denny's for dinner (along with most other people in the Detroit area). It was packed & dinner took a good hour & a half. Sean did great though. 06/26/09 - We went to GFS with Aunt Susie & then to Daddy's work for a visit. We stopped at McDonald's to play on the way home. Not sure why Sean likes to go to places with those play areas. He doesn't climb in them; mostly just sits there. That night Jason & I served dinner at McCrest along with Grandpa Jim & the Machs. Sean went to Grandma & Puppa's where Grandma drew tattoos of Mommy & Daddy on Sean's arm. We had to tell her the next day that she's only allowed to draw on paper. :) 06/27/09 - Daddy didn't clean offices until the afternoon, so we spent the whole morning together. After Sean's nap, we went to Hannah's 2nd birthday party. Then, Daddy & Sean went to the splash zone & over to Grandpa Nick's while I went to dinner with Kimmy. 06/28/09 - Daddy & Sean went to church while I went to Nancy's shower. I met them at the Mach's afterwards. Then, I went to Braden's 2nd birthday party. 06/29/09 - We went & booked the pavillion at the park for Sean's 3rd birthday party. Crazy my baby is almost 3... Then we met Grandma & Puppa for dinner at Eddie's.
Last night Sean was quoting word for word pages from his "Diesel 10 Means Trouble" book. He's a smarty. We started memorizing a scripture last night too. "Do everything without complaining or arguing" Phillipians 2:14. Perfect for Sean!!!

Night owl
Sean likes to sleep. He likes to sleep until he's ready to wake up. It always makes for a crabbier day (or at least morning) when some one has to wake him up. But, he doesn't like falling asleep. Bedtime is his least favorite time right now and it's always a fight. We read a bible story, pray, tell stories, watch one of his shows, etc. At the end of it all, he's still pleading for just one more story or show. The other night, after the above routine, he asked me to tell him a story. I told him no, that it was bedtime. He replied, "one more story will make me tired!". He thinks he can outsmart me. Probably pretty close to being able to...
06/05 - We went to Puppa's work. Sean liked the big trucks, but not when they were running. He really liked the tire room. That night we went to Luna Kai for dinner & to see Uncle Billee's band. We had a HUGE party. Aunt Susie, Vinnie, Sam, Grandma, Puppa, Aunt Mary, Scott, Grandpa Jim, Grandpa Larry, Grandma Sue, Uncle Scott & Paige were there along with friends from church. Sean liked walking around with different members of his fan club (ie. Daddy, Grandpa Jim, Grandma, Puppa), but he was ready to go home before the end of the 1st set. 06/06 - Daddy & Puppa got up early to go fishing. When they were done, Sean & I met them, along with Grandma, for breakfast. After that, we (mommy, daddy & Sean) went to the park. That night, we went to the Tigers game with Grandpa Jim, Grandpa Larry, Uncle Scott, Paige, Barney, Cheryl & Doug. Sean stayed the whole time (for fireworks too!). The second time this season... 06/07 - We went to church and then to the Warren Community Center to swim. Sean loved it, but didn't like the big bucket that fills with water & tips. 06/09 - We stopped by Aunt Mary's after I got out of work. Lilly was SO excited to see us, she jumped up & scratched Sean's face. He had a bite mark on his arm from school, so this just added to the "beat up" look. 06/11 - We went to Puppa & Grandma's for dinner. Sean got armor from Grandma, so after dinner, they went on a dragon slaying adventure in the basement. 06/12 - Sean & I went to Alex's house. It was his birthday, so the boys decorated cupcakes for the party later that evening. We went to see Super WHY at Meijers after that. Alex went right up to him, but Sean, although he was SO excited at the thought of seeing Super WHY, wanted nothing to do with him. He told me he didn't like the big Super WHY "much". That night we went to Alex's birthday party. Connor was there too. 06/13 - We went to see Thomas Live with Grandma & Puppa. We had 2nd row seats. Sean did great until almost the end. For a 90 minute show, he stayed pretty interested the whole time. That night, Jason & I went to Lucianos for Tim's birthday, so Sean went to Partridge Creek with Aunt Susie. 06/14 - Sean & I went to church and then Sean went bowling with Daddy. He held & threw the ball like a big boy & got a 51 (with bumpers). We went to dinner with Grandma & Puppa, while Daddy stayed at home with a bad headache. When we got home, Daddy was feeling better, so we went to the park. Sean cleaned up all the garbage he saw. How awesome. He was really upset that people just threw their garbage on the ground. Yesterday, Sean spent the day at the beach with Aunt Susie & then played with Daddy after work while I went to do crafts at the nursing home. He loves being at home. Jason had to bargain with him to go to the park!!!

Excuse me, mommy
Wow, has Sean embraced this line. I told him that he has to say "excuse me" if I'm talking and he wants my attention. He does such a great job. It makes you want to stop immediately & respond. And, that's pretty much what you have to do, cause he'll just keep saying "excuse me" until you do respond. :)
05/21 - We went to Mr. Barney's house to visit with Heather & Adrianna. 05/22 - We went to Grandma & Puppa's house for dinner and to visit with Gram. We had dinner & Sean helped Puppa water the garden & flowers. He was outside yelling, "Puppa, come here, your garden is growing!!!!". 05/23 - Daddy & Puppa went fishing in the morning. They saw a fox with a bunny in his mouth when they walked out of the bait shop. We got Sean's big boy (twin) bed set up & moved his room around. He likes being in there, but only likes to sleep in there if daddy or I am with him. That afternoon, we went to the Bishops for a BBQ. The daddys (and Evan) went to the Tigers game & the mommys stayed & had a bonfire with the rest of the kids. 05/24 - I was suppose to take Gram to Holy Innocents, but she got sick. So, I went fishing with Sean, Daddy & Puppa. Grandpa Jim met us up there too. Sean was so excited. He liked putting the fish in a net, but didn't like when they flopped around. He liked going to the park by the water too. After fishing we went to breakfast with Grandpa Jim. That night, we went to Uncle Mike & Aunt Nicole's to hang out with Austin, Livie & Jackson. We walked up to the ice cream parlor, played outside & watched Lazy Town (weird show). 05/25 - We went fishing with Grandma & Puppa in the afternoon. Grandma & Sean played checkers & went on a dragon slaying adventure when Sean had enough of the fishing (which wasn't long after we got there). After that we all went to dinner at O'Briens. 05/27 - Grandpa Nick came over & went to dinner at church with us. Sean had fun showing him how all of his toys work. 05/28 - We went to Bed Bath & Beyond with Grandma & Ms. Jo, then to dinner. Sean HAD to have a tomato saver from BB&B. Not sure why, but it fascinated him. He's won over by the simplest things. 05/29 - Sean had an ENT appt at 9:00. The doctor said to continue the flonase, because it seemed to be working. The water isn't completely gone, but there's less than last time. We go back the last week of July. After the appt, we went to Fort Fraser for Sean's end of the year school party. Ms. Addie got all the kids bubbles & a frisbee. She offered Sean a cupcake, but he wanted to just "eat the food he brought". :) That afternoon Sean stayed with Grandpa Jim while I went to a retirement party for Ms. Jo. They met us at daddy's new work. After Sean & I stopped by the funeral home for Mr. Mazzocco, we met daddy at Coney. 05/30 - We met Aunt Annette & Connor at Chuck E. Cheese. Then, we met Grandma at her work. We looked for dragons, drew on Nancy's board & played on the computer. After Sean's nap, we went to the Bishops. Sean stayed briefly until Grandma came & picked him up while I went out with my small group girls. Sean & Grandma had lots of adventures, along with a lesson on the Red Wings. Sean was sure to let daddy know the next day. :) 05/31 - After church and Sean's nap, we were suppose to go to the Warren Community Center, but it was closed. :( So, we settled for putt putt & an ice cream instead. 06/01 - Sean was so excited that he "stopped" the ice cream man by himself last night. That truck causes a lot of excitment around our house.

Keep on the sunny side
The weather has been amazing and Sean LOVES playing outside. I wonder how that's gonna play out when it's 95 degrees...yipes! So far, we've been blessed with lots of 60-75 degree days which is perfect.
Mother's Day weekend - Friday, 05/08, Jason took the day off work. I went to the Gerace's to get the triplets off to school & then came home & got ready for our night away. We packed and then went to the zoo. The weather was perfect, warm & breezy. After the zoo, we headed to Grayling. Sean had a rough time during the 3 hour drive. He didn't nap (which was the plan), so that didn't help. Once in Grayling, we swam, played shuffle board, played on the jungle gym, played video games, ate dinner, went to a 50's diner/soda shop, swam more, played more & so on. Sleeping didn't go so well, but the rest of the trip was awesome. We came home on Saturday and shortly after, went to the Mach's. After the Mach's, Sean & I went to Stephanie's house to celebrate her graduation from nursing school. Sean was very clingy, but enjoyed his time with the kids (if I was right there with him). Sunday, we went to Maranatha for the kiss & a rose ceremony. Sean gave Grandma Sue her rose, but immediately took it back. :) We had a nice lunch with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry. After our nap, Sean & I went to Grandma & Puppa's for dinner. Daddy stayed home because he wasn't feeling good. On our way home, I called Jason and he said he was just waking up. When we got home, the whole house was clean (he even did laundry!!!). What a wonderful Mother's Day! Also, Grandpa Jim & Daddy helped Sean make recorded cards for me, Grandma & Grandma Sue. They were very special.
I picked up Sean's pictures from school on Monday. What a gorgeous boy, if I may say so myself. Tuesday, I went to Aunt Mary's and Daddy, Grandpa Jim & Sean went to the park & to get a slurpy. On Thursday, we met the Wilsons & Murphys for dinner at HuHot. Sean loves ringing the gong! Friday we picked up Ms. Christie & Chase and went to the zoo to see Dinosauria. Sean like the dinosaurs but was a little shaken when one spit water at him. He loves telling the story about that. Friday night Sean went bowling with Grandma & Puppa while me & Daddy went to a bowling fundraiser with our small group. Saturday morning we went to breakfast with Grandma and then to the DIA with Grandma, Ms. Gretchen & Ms. Jo. Sean picked out a bottle cap magnet with an angel on it because he's an angel (with wings!). :) After Sean's nap we went to Carter's 1st birthday party. After the party, me, Sean & Daddy went to a Tigers game. The best we've been to so far. Sean rode the carousel 4 times, watched the game & we even stayed for the fireworks. It was awesome. On Monday, 05/18, Grandpa Jim picked Sean up from Aunt Susie's and they went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's for bacon. Daddy & I met them there before going to Monday night nursing home crafts. Sean stayed all day at school on Tuesday and was very ready to come home by the time I got there to pick him up. That night, we played outside, walked around the block and then walked to get an ice cream. Sean in the wagon & Dani on her leash. It was a fun family night. Last night, Sean helped Puppa with his garden & then stayed with Grandma while me & Daddy went to the Tigers game with Marty & Val for Marty's birthday.
Sean loves playing NickJr games on the computer and can navigate them all by himself. The other night, I pulled up the website and got him started playing Max & Ruby. Before long he was watching Wubb Girlz: Wubb Idol. He found it himself. He's so smart!

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo...
Last week I ordered a zoo pass. $50 for a year and that includes (2) adult admissions, free parking every time & 10% off at the gift shops. Plus, members have their own special entrance, which can really be an amazing thing. We got our money's worth last weekend alone!
Last Friday, me, Sean, Grandpa Jim & neighbor Nicole met Annette, Connor & Lexi at the zoo. It was the PERFECT zoo day. High 60s, sunny & breezy. We had an awesome time. Sean took a little spill at lunch, but of course, he bounced back quickly. Friday night we went to Aunt Mary's house. Grandma was there, so Sean did great as long as she gave him her undivided attention. Because that was almost impossible after a point, daddy came & got him around 8:30 to avoid further meltdowns. He went home & ate a bunch of daddy & Grandpa Jim's chicken planks from Long John Silver's. Daddy said he was crabby because no one fed him. Right... Saturday, I went to the Maranatha Mother/Daughter Banquet with Mary, mom & Sue. While we were there, daddy, Grandpa Jim & Sean went back to the zoo. Saturday night Sean stayed with Grandpa Jim while we went to the Tastefest at church. Mmmmm... Sunday was church, nap, putt putt then FX. Tuesday, Annette dropped Connor off after work and me, Jason, Sean & Connor went to McDonalds, putt putt and the park. Sean was sad that Connor had to go home; he wanted him to come stay the night. Wednesday we did our regular grocery shopping and then brought Grandma's ipod cord to work. We stayed for lunch & Sean told Ms. Jo the Easter story with the resurrection eggs. He also told the Wild Things story and listened VERY intently to Grandma's summary of the Wizard of Oz. He was SO into the story that when she said the lion ROARRRED, he almost jumped out of his chair. :) He's spent today with Aunt Susie, playing at the beach. What a life... :)

What an amazing little boy...
He's amazing. Absolutely amazing. I can't imagine how God could ever think enough of Jason and I to give us Sean. But, he did and I am so thankful for that amazing blessing.
Sean LOVES being outside. That's tough when you're 2 & you live in Michigan. Last weekend, it was 80 degrees on Friday & Saturday, a little cooler on Sunday and then 40 on Monday. We were playing with a water blaster over the weekend and I had him in a winter coat by Monday. Wow...
Last Thursday, Dennis came over for dinner for his birthday. Sean let him use the famous Thomas birthday candle and we all sang happy birthday. Friday was gorgeous. Jackson came over & we went to McDonalds & then to the park with Grandpa Jim. When Daddy got home, we went to Jawors for putt putt. Sean LOVES it. And, he's free. :) Aunt Mary called us while we were leaving Jawors & asked to meet us for dinner, so we all went to Dimetri Rendevous. Mmmm... After dinner, me, Jason & Sean went to the park. Saturday, we went by Kroger & then met Grandma at the church. We went to the park & then to Cracker Barrell. When we got home, we had a water fight with an awesome water blaster we got at the dollar store. That night, Jason & Sean went to the Machs & I went to Kimmy's house for a girl's night. Sunday, after church & after nap, Grandpa Jim & Sean went to the park while me & Jason did some stuff around the house. Sean ended the night with a slurpee, which didn't help with him falling asleep later on. Monday, Grandpa Jim picked Sean up from Susie's & took him to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's house for bacon.
Sean is a technology toddler!! He can completely navigate youtube by himself. Scary because not everything on youtube is toddler appropriate! I love my days off with him. Yesterday after he was an angel (Grandma says she can see his wings!) while getting his pictures taken, we went to Dollar Tree & then to cousin Nicole's house. On the way there, Sean asked, "Where are we going?", I said, "To big baby Ethan's house". Sean said, "Why?", I replied, "To eat pizza" and Sean said, "Why?" to which I replied "because". This frustrated Sean and he said, "Because is not why!". He's way too smart.

Potty woes...
Last week, Aunt Susie (and Sean) were on Spring break. So, she decided to try and complete the potty training process. Sean hasn't had a poopy diaper in months, so peeing on the potty should be no big deal, right? Grrr... Every day since last Monday, it seems like he's less & less interested. We've tried everything. He'll feel cold & wet in pee-peed underwear, right? Not Sean. He flipped out about sitting on the potty, got off & peed in his underwear almost immediately. He asked, "Is Mickey [who was on the underwear] mad at me?". I said, no, baby. He said, "Good, let's play". I had to force him, kicking & screaming to change his wet clothes. It really didn't make him uncomfortable to sit in them. Does this mean he's not ready yet? He continues to tell us when he has to poop & goes on the potty. Peeing is truly a struggle right now.
Last Friday, we went to the Mach's. The girls had sushi, the guys went out & the kids ate pizza & played outside until they were exhausted. The weather was beautiful. Saturday morning, Sean & I went to clean with Daddy at his work. Sean had fun playing with Paige. That night, we went to Armada for Jackson's baptism and then to Uncle Mike & Aunt Nicole's. Yesterday, we went to church, napped and then Sean went to Grandma & Puppa's while mommy & daddy went to dinner. Today, Sean went to school and now he's home with Grandpa Jim.

I'm gonna give that bunny a hug tomorrow!
Sean got done going through his basket Easter morning and said, "I'm gonna give that bunny a hug tomorrow!". I guess the bunny did a good job. ;)
Friday, me & Jason cleaned the basement while Sean hung out with Grandpa Jim. Grandpa came back later that night to play with Sean while we went to the Good Friday service & church and then to Culvers with the Davidsons. Saturday morning we met Grandma, Mary & Great Gram for breakfast at Cracker Barrell. Great Gram came home with us and when Daddy & Grandpa Jim got back from cleaning, we dyed eggs. Sean enjoyed it, but he spilled the blue dye and didn't want to wait for us to clean it up. His hands were dyed & he had a little speck of blue dye under his eye. After his nap on Saturday we went to the Mach's. We had a variety of food, goodie bags for the kids and a big egg hunt. Sean loved it, as always. Saturday night we left carrots for the easter bunny. Sean loved waking up on Sunday morning and seeing his basket. He liked opening all the plastic eggs with toys & candy in there. Almost more than he liked his train & mr. potato head! We made a video of me asking him, "Who's alive today?" and him responding, "Jesus is alive!!". We went to church & then everybody came over afterwards. Jackson & Sean hunted for eggs in the front yard; Max, Livie & Austin hunted for eggs in the backyard. They all had a turn reading a clue to find their baskets too. We had a great day. :)

Sorry guys...
Last night, Sean threw his new "boo-boo baseball" and we couldn't find it. He was crying because he wanted it back and Jason told him that's why we don't throw our toys. I finally found it under our bed. Sean told me, "I'm not sad anymore. Sorry guys, sorry I threw my boo-boo baseball". Awww...it was a precious moment. I told him that it was ok and mommy & daddy didn't want him to lose or break his toys. That's why we tell him not to throw them. I also told him that there was nothing in the world he could ever do to make us love him less.
Ok, so since I blog so infrequently, let's go back... 03/28 - Jason & I went to Gleaners with our small group for Love in Action day. Sean stayed with Grandma. We picked him up after to go to Nathan's 1st birthday party. He had a rough time sharing there. That night, daddy played cards & I went to Steph & Nicole's 29th birthday party, so Sean stayed with Miss Amanda. 03/29 - we celebrated Grandma's birthday with hotdogs, brownies & apple pie...mmmm. 03/30 - was crafts at Father Murrays. Sean is always a big hit with the ladies. 03/31 - Grandma Sue & Uncle Scott came over to play with Sean while mommy & Sarah did algebra. 04/03 - Wednesday & Thursday this week were beautiful, so when Friday came, Sean wanted to play outside just like he had the last two days. Well, it was chilly & rainy. Since we don't have proper Spring apparel, Sean had to wear his snow boots to dig for worms with Grandpa Jim :). Grandma & Puppa came over for dinner & then played play-doh. 04/04 - small group & the Machs. Sean loves it there! The kids played outside & it was so cute to watch Sean eat in the backroom with all the other kids. He's growing up so fast! 04/05 - FX was fun. Sean sat right up front with the other kids and last through the music. That was about it. We went to Coney afterwards with Grandpa Jim, neighbor Nicole & Paige. Grandma Sue, Grandpa Larry & Uncle Dennis were up there too. 04/06 - Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry came over at night to play with Sean. 04/07 - We all went to dinner with Grandma before her small group. 04/08 - Our usual Wednesday routine. Bank, groceries, Grandpa Nick's, nap, church. I took dinner to Grandpa Nick yesterday too, so Sean hung out with Puppa.
I hope everyone has a blessed Easter. Remember - Jesus gave His life for you & He loves you very much!!
I no wike it, I no want to...
I "no wike" either of these phrases. The last week has really been an eye-opener to the world of the terrible twos! I hope I survive it, lovingly & patiently. ;)
Last Friday, Sean and I were suppose to stay the night with Annette & Connor. It was the eve of Annette's wedding and the boys get along oh so well. Annette ran to her neighbor's house and while she was gone, Sean got put in time out (yet again) for throwing a toy because he didn't get his way. When Annette came back, I said, I'm not sure this is going to work. Just then, she noticed my eye was swelling. So, we had to go home. Probably better for Sean, because I have a feeling he would've spent a lot of time in time out. Saturday, I was gone most of the day for the wedding. When Sean saw me try my dress on the night before, he said, "mommy, you look like a princess". So, when I was leaving him that morning, I told him to take a nap and when he woke up, princess mommy would be home. I said this because I thought the idea of me being a princess was a good thing to him. Well, I came home after the ceremony to pick up Jason and then we went to the reception. Sean stayed with Grandma and she said he had a hard time falling asleep. Sunday morning, Sean climbed into bed with me and said, "I no wike princess mommy, just regular mommy". I guess the whole princess thing kind of worried him. Sunday we went to Jack's 2nd birthday party and then to the Mach's for small group. Yesterday, we had a busy day filled with lots of stores which meant that Sean wanted lots of stuff. That probably didn't help with the whole terrible two behavior. We met Grandma at Olgas last night where Sean threw a HUGE fit because he couldn't open a greeting card he found in my purse. Grr... But, at the end of the day, he's my cuddly, loving little boy. I love this age, but it's so frustrating sometimes!
Grandpa Jim's been picking Sean up from school the last two weeks while Susie was in Brazil. I'm sure Grandpa & Sean have enjoyed their time together, but we're all glad that Susie landed safely this morning and we're all happy to have her home. Today is Grandma's birthday, so Sean called this morning to say "feliz cupleanos" (he loves Dora). Happy Birthday Grandma!

Top O' the Mornin' to Ya
Sean was crabby this morning and everything I said, he said the opposite. He looked so cute in his green shirt for St. Patty's Day, but he kept saying, "I no like green, I no like green!". I tried to make him laugh and got a couple cute pictures of him. We're going to the doctor tonight. He has a runny nose and I want to try & stop whatever's going on before it turns into an ear infection.

Rough week = no blogging
I thought about blogging a lot over the last 13 days and never sat down to do it. Last Friday, the 6th, our hot water tank died and leaked almost 40 gallons of water into our FINISHED basement. A little stressful to say the least. Sean had a great day though. He got up that morning and went to Borics with Grandpa Jim & Grandpa Nick. Then, he went to Nicole's to play with Brianna, Angelina & Ethan. After that, he came home for a nap. After his nap, we went to Grandma & Puppa's and then Grandpa Jim came back over. It was awesome to have all the help with Sean while Jason and I cleaned up the mess. On Saturday, we went to the Mach's. I love our small group! On Tuesday, my mom and I picked Sean up after work and went to Mary's house for dinner. Sean and Puppa found a HUGE large mouth bass washed up in Mary's backyard. Sean was fascinated. On Wednesday, Sean helped me work the nursery for Miss Tammie's (a friend from church) funeral service. He was such a good boy. On Thursday, Annette & Connor came over so we could fill the favors for Annette's wedding. The boys played so well together. On Friday, Jackson came over to spend the day with us. Grandpa Jim came over around 9:30 and we all went to Chuck E. Cheese. Then, me, Jacks & Sean went to Miss Robyn's house to meet baby Joey. Sean and Jackson played really good together. Must've worn each other out, cause at 3:00, they both crashed. On Saturday, Jason and I left for Kalamazoo to see Brian Regan. Sean stayed with Grandma. He claims that he missed me, but every time I called, he was NOT interested in talking on the phone. ;) Grandpa Jim brought him home from church on Sunday and Jason and I were there waiting. We had a great time in Kalamazoo, but we really missed him.

Camp Southerland
Jason and Sean built a tent in the living room on Friday night. I was going to a fundraiser, so it was guys night in. Sean LOVED it. The couch was the "tree" and the floor was the bed. We've managed to get the "tent" down once since, but it's back up again. I think we need to get an air mattress because the floor is no good for my back!
Saturday morning, Sean went to Aunt Mary's while I went to jazzercise. After that, we went to Grandpa Nick's and then home for a nap. When Sean woke up, we went to Tyler's 3rd birthday party. Sean was great. He played well, performed well...everything. ;) He was showing everybody, "see my finger, see my thumb, see my fist, you better run!". After the birthday party, Sean hung out with Grandpa Jim while Jason and I went on a date. We went to dinner and then to McKenny's to see Uncle Billee's band. Sunday was the FX service at church. Sean loved the music, but was a little disappointed that they didn't drive the bus. We went to CiCis after that with Grandpa Jim. Sean got two little rubber aliens out of a vending machine there and he loves them. They ride in his motorized trains. Yesterday, at Aunt Susie's house, Sean POOPED IN THE POTTY!!! YAY!!! Progress... Last night Sean went to Grandma & Puppas. Jason said Puppa was in time out when he got there. Sean has such a sweet heart. My dad was teasing my mom about something and Sean said, "no grandma, it's beautiful". He tells me I'm beautiful all the time. He's an angel...

"I'm an angel..."
Whenever Sean is really good or really sweet, I always tell him he's an angel. On Tuesday, I made bacon for dinner. Sean was sitting in his seat saying, "thank you for my milk, mommy, it's the best" and "thank you for this bacon, mommy, I love it". Then he said, "I'm an angel, right mommy?". He's too smart!
Last Friday, we went to Aunt Val's sister Kim's house to do some algebra. Sean got to play with Alex, Nathan & Alyssa. After that, we went to Armada to hang out with Jackson while Uncle Mike & Aunt Nicole headed out for the weekend. Sean loved playing with Austin's old trains, of course. The two of them refused to nap, but suprisingly, got along pretty well. That night, Grandma came over to hang out with Sean while me & Jason went to a sweetheart banquet at church. Saturday, Grandma & Puppa came over while I went to my jazzercise class. That night, we went to the Mach's for valentine ice cream sundaes & a nooma video. Sean loves the Mach house. Our friend Peter passed away, so I went to the funeral on Sunday, after church, while Sean was napping. After that, we went to the Davidson's for a fun night of pizza & catch phrase. Never a dull moment with them. Sean & Mason played well together & watched Diego. Tuesday night, I picked Sean up after work & headed to Barnes & Noble by Jason's work. Conveniently, they moved the train table to a section that had Thomas trains for sale. And we didn't even know that the book store carried trains...imagine that. Luckily, Grandma gave Sean a Barnes & Noble "credit card" or gift card, so he could pick out a prize. That card helped soften the blow of our little trip to the book store. Yesterday, we went shopping with Grandpa Jim and then Grandma Sue & Sarah came over. Sean is so lucky to have the grandparents he does. This blog is filled with stories about time spent with Grandma, Puppa, Grandpa Jim, Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry. It's awesome. It makes me sad to think that there are kids (and grandparents) who don't get to experience that. We are blessed.

Clean up, Aisle 5!
Sean LOVES "driving the bus". It's a song & dance routine we got from church. Half way through the song, you do a plumber dance with a pretend plunger. Yesterday when I met Susie at the doctor for Sean's check up he asked me if I'd bring him a plunger when I came home from work. He had talked to Susie about it all day. He even talked about a plunger in his sleep. We stopped at Meijer on the way home and got one. I was laughing as I walked through the store with a plunger because I knew it was a prize for Sean. He's funny. He was so excited to get it. He even wanted to sleep with it last night. :)
Last Friday was awesome. Grandpa Jim, Grandma & Puppa drove with us. We met Uncle Mike, Aunt Nicole, Max, Livie, Austin, Jackson, Aunt Mary & Scott at Hockey Town Cafe. Jackson was an awesome birthday boy. He sat in his high chair and ate the whole time. We then went over to the Fox for "When Elmo Grows Up". Sean had a blast. He started to fade towards the end, but the show was an hour & 45 minutes, so he held up great. On Saturday, we went to a wildlife exhibit at the Sterling Inn. Val, Alex & Nathan and Annette & Connor were there. Grandpa Jim, Grandma Sue, Grandpa Larry & Paige came up too. Sean got to pet a fox & a python...eww. It was fun, but he only lasted about 30 or 40 minutes there. Saturday afternoon we went to Barnes & Noble to get a Max & Ruby video. They had a cool children's area with a train table. Sean had a blast. He kept saying, "no, I want to stay at the library". Sunday we brought our baby bottle that we filled up with change for CareNet to church. Sean was so cute as he put his money into the bottle. He was so excited to give the bottle of change to Ms. Janie. He said, "this is for the babies". I love him...

Blogging takes discipline!
Something I lack... It's amazing how fast a week goes by!
Last Saturday, Sean went to the Mach's with daddy while I went for mexican food with Jenny & Christie. Woo-hoo! The guys hung out with the kids and the girls went out to dinner. It was wonderful. Sean loves the Mach house. They have trains there, why wouldn't he?!?! Sunday, after church, we went to Austin's 9th birthday party. Sean bowled 3 or 4 frames, but had much more fun running around & eating candy. He did pretty good for not taking his nap until 3:30. He did really good all night too. Jason and I were wondering how we'd watch the superbowl with a 2 year old, but it went well. Monday night Sean went to Grandma & Puppa's while I jazzercised. Tuesday we went to the church for Tim & Natalie's going away party. Yesterday we went to visit Mr. Peter and then Grandpa Nick. We stopped at the Whistle Stop because Sean lost both of his Jack's. They had one Jack left and Grandpa Jim bought it for him. Tonight we're having dinner with Grandma & Puppa and tomorrow we're going to see Elmo Live with Grandma, Puppa, Grandpa Jim, Uncle Mike, Aunt Nicole, Max, Livie, Austin & Jackson for Jackson's 1st birthday. Sean went pee-pee on the potty again last Friday. We're making progress!

I don't want to...
If I never hear these words again, it'll be too soon! This is Sean's new favorite phrase. This and "but I want it right now". These two phrases are enough to drive a person crazy. It's funny because I called my mom on Friday right after Sean woke up from his nap and she asked what we were doing. Spongebob was on tv when he woke up, so he was watching it. She said, "don't let that baby watch Spongebob, can't he watch Caillou or something?". To which I replied, "Caillou says stuff like, 'but I don't want to' and 'but I want it right now'. " Spongebob may be gross & say words like "jerk", but I'm almost thinking I'd like that better...
Friday night, Max, Livie & Austin spent the night. Sean and I came to Grandma's work to pick her up. Then we picked up Jason and headed to Plymouth for the Ice Festival. It was fun to see the sculptures, but exhausting carrying Sean around, not to mention COLD! When we got home, we put together the space station train track that Uncle Mike, Aunt Nicole, Max, Livie, Austin & Jackson got Sean for Christmas. It's awesome. Saturday morning, the kids went to Chuck E. Cheese with Aunt Mary & Scott while I went to my jazzercise class. Mike & Nicole brought Jackson and Grandma came up there too. After CEC, we went home & Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry came over. That night we went to the Mach's for small group. Sean colored me LOTS of Thomas pictures. We had a busy weekend, so after church on Sunday, we just hung out & did stuff around the house.
We're still working on potty training. Sean's still a little leary about the whole thing, but all in good time, right?

Pee Pee on the Potty
Thursday night, after Jason left for bowling, Sean and I layed down. I gave him an early bath, so he'd already had his diaper on for about an hour or so before we layed down. I asked him if we needed to change his diaper because he kind of smelled like pee. He said no, of course. So then I asked him if he wanted to sit on his potty. He said yes & jumped up. I took his diaper off, he sat down and after thinking about it for a little bit, he actually peed in the potty! He's sat on his little potty chair before, but he's never peed in it. So, we were jumping around, dancing. We called daddy, Grandma & Puppa, Grandpa Jim, Grandpa Larry & Grandma Sue and Aunt Susie. He'd talk into the phone & say, "my went potty - now my no sleep now". He was more excited about staying up a little longer than he was about peeing in the potty. :)
Friday, Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry brought Sean a choo-choo train for his big achievement. After that, Grandma & Puppa came over while me & Jason went to meet Riley & Ella (Glenn & Amanda's twins) for the first time. They also brought Sean a prize for peeing on the potty. They also brought him a "you went on the potty" card. I can't believe they make those! Saturday morning, I went to jazzercise and Sean hung out with Mary and Scott. We didn't do anything the rest of the day. The weather was terrible. Suprise! Sean's been sick all week, so we didn't go to church yesterday. Last night, Sean hung out with Grandpa Jim while we went to our friends, Jenny & Paul's baptism.
Sean's been OBSESSED with Dani lately. He's constantly hugging & climbing on her. She's such a good girl. She happily endures his rough displays of affection...

Snow snow go away!
We are getting HAMMERED by snow this winter. Seems like we get a day of snow once or twice a week. I haven't seen my lawn in weeks! Oh, wait, we did have one 60 degree day that melted the snow. Michigan...
Sean woke up with a seal in his throat this morning. He told Grandma that it kept "arfing". He's affectionate towards me, but usually when he's tired or upset or sick, he's won't let me out of his sight. He didn't want me to put him down this morning. Poor guy. Susie said he's had a good day though. A runny nose, but he's in a good mood.
Friday night it was snowing (suprise!), so we just stayed in. Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry came by to bring Sean a collapsing bridge. I made dinner and we played choo-choo trains. It was a bath night, which is becoming a battle of wills at our house. I had to pack up the trains and threaten to throw them away before Sean gave in last week. Friday was a little better, but not much. And forget about clipping his toe nails...you'd think you were torturing him. I hope this phase passes, quick! Saturday, we went to breakfast with Aunt Mary. Then, I had a baby shower & baptism. We were suppose to go to the Mach's house, but it just kept snowing, so we decided to post-pone. Saturday night, Sean stayed with Grandpa Jim while me & Jason went to Mary's for a game night. I am the catch phrase champion!!!! Sunday, Jason had a bowling tournament and I taught both services at church. Sean went to first service & then ran the halls with Grandpa Jim until I finished with 2nd. Grandma brought a motorized Diesel 10 to church for Sean. He took it in the kitchen to show Aunt Susie, he took it in the nursery to show everyone there... He LOVES Diesel 10. We watch "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" a hundred times a day and we've read the book "Diesel 10 Means Trouble" at least 40 times since last Thursday. Sean had 2 take along Diesel 10s - 1 for Mommy's house and 1 for Susie's house. Well, the pinchy or claw on the one broke off & Sean was DEVASTED. After that episode, my mom bought 2 more take along Diesel 10s, for back up. He takes that thing EVERYWHERE and no matter what new train he gets, Diesel 10 sleeps with him at night. Sunday night was FX. Sean loves the music and he loves driving the bus!

Winter blues
The holidays go by WAY too fast!!! We had a great Christmas. Sean loved leaving cookies & food out for Santa & his reindeer. He's was in awe when he woke up Christmas morning and the food was all gone. He "knew" that Rudolph had been there. Everything he opened Christmas morning got an "oh wow" or "oh boy". He really likes getting presents and it was a major disappointment to him when that stopped. I can understand where he's coming from, I just wish I didn't have to deal with the tantrums & such. The world revolves around Sean. We must find a way to break this or at least start easing out of it. We went to Aunt Pam's Christmas Eve, Grandma & Puppa came over Christmas morning, we went to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry's for breakfast after that and we finished the evening with Grandpa Jim coming over for dinner. New Years Eve, Jason and I went bowling with Mary & Scott. Sean stayed with Grandpa Jim. New Years day, Sean & I went to my mom's house. Good thing because he was supposed to go back for some lasagna later that day and ended up sleeping for 3 1/2 hours and missing the visit! Friday night, Sean & Daddy went to dinner with Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry. Sean loves HuHot!!! Saturday morning we went to breakfast with Grandma, Puppa & Aunt Mary. That night, we went to the Linenger's house for some old small group fellowship. Sean was in heaven!!! Kevin had tons of wooden trains & track. Megan put together a huge track in the basement and Sean was lovin' it! Yesterday we laid low for most of the day. Tried to get things in order before we had to go back to work. :( We went to Connor's 3rd birthday party at Rainforest Cafe at night. Sean LOVED it!!! He kept Grandpa Jim busy.
Have I ever mentioned that Sean's the smartest kid alive? :) He seriously knows ALL of his Thomas trains. The ones he has, the ones he doesn't. Well, on Friday night, we was watching a video and in the video, Douglas (one of the Scottish twins) is pushing a brake van. He starts to ram into it and the brake van says, "Don't do that! Don't you know I'm essential?!?". So Sean says, "My no have essential, my need essential". He doesn't know that the train's name is "brake van". Just this morning he said to me, "mommy, you get me essential?". I love him...
