Everything is a compromise now and it seems to be working for us. For example, if Sean wanted pretzels or m&ms and I'd say no, he'd throw a huge fit. Now, if I say 1 & then all done, it usually works in avoiding a major meltdown. Not like this plan is fool proof, but it is working fairly well. Yesterday morning, I took Sean to Burger King. When it was getting close to time to leave, I said, ok, it's time to go. He looked at me & said, "not yet...one more time & all done", referring to the slide. When it's time to get ready in the morning & he's playing with his trains, he'll say, "one more time & all done". He doesn't always stick to that, but once again, it's what's working best for us.
Last weekend, Daddy was up north with Puppa, so Sean did a lot of hanging out with me & Grandma. On Friday, Sean & I went to lunch with Grandpa Jim, neighbor Nicole & our friend Peter. Grandma Sue & Grandpa Nick met us up there too. That afternoon, Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry came over. Grandpa Larry was so excited because he brought Sean grapes, cookies & m&ms. It's not hard to win Sean's affection. Bring him some food, play with him and it's all good. That night we played putt putt with Grandma & then stayed the night at her house. On Saturday, we went to a bbq at the Mach's house. Then, we (along with Austin, Livie, Jackson & my neighbor Nicole) went out to Great Lakes Crossing. Not my favorite experience there, but the kids still had fun. Sunday we had church & Jason got home around 1:00. Sean missed his daddy...a lot. He freaked out if me or my mom would leave his sight. He didn't sleep well either. I sleep much better with Jason home too. :)
Sean LOVES to sing now. He sings along to every song on his singing Elmo doll. And, he sings along to his favorite shows' theme songs. Like Cailou...it's great. He's also pretty good at following along to his ABCs. He's so smart & he shocks me every day with what he knows & says. I love him...
