Jump for joy...baby Jesus is born!

That was the plan at least... Last Wednesday was Sean's dress rehearsal for Family Christmas. I was working in the nursery, Nicole (neighbor Nicole) was downstairs with Sean and Jason came around 7:00 & stood in the nursery with me. He was waiting for the 2-Ks to walk by so he could go into the sanctuary to watch Sean rehearse. He kept walking down to the sanctuary to see if Sean was in there yet. Some one told Jason that the younger kids would be in there at 7:15. At 7:50, Nicole brought Sean to us and he was a basket case. He kept saying, "it was dark". I guess they lined the kids up & took them backstage thinking they were going on right away but the elementary kids did their songs twice, so there was a 25 minute delay. Poor Sean... He was genuinely scared. :( On Thursday, we met Val & the boys at the bowling alley to exchange gifts & eat dinner. Sean got a digital camera & a Thomas shirt that makes noise. He loves them both! On Friday, Alex & Nathan came over while Val worked. We got about 8-10 inches of snow. It snowed from very early morning until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Jason shoveled, Jim shoveled, I shoveled and our neighbor came by with the snowblower. We still have snow!!! Friday night, we made the "trek" to Logans to have dinner with & exchange gifts with the Boccaccios. They leave for Nairobi on 01/07. We will miss them, but know they're living in God's will!! Saturday was Christmas at Grandma & Puppa's. Sean LOVED present time. I thought he'd be overwhelmed and be satisfied with one thing. Well, he sat on the rug with his hands folded looking at my dad and saying, "hi puppa...is that for me?". He was an angel...a very spoiled angel. :) Yesterday was daddy's birthday. Sean got him Backyardigan snacks. Jason told him that he loved them and that Sean made his birthday so happy. Last night, Sean and Jason were playing "kickety kick ball" and Sean said, "do you love it? does it make you happy?". He's so funny and he doesn't miss ANYTHING! Yesterday morning was Sean's stage debut at Family Christmas. We thought he'd never make it on stage after Wednesday night, but, with Nicole's help, he stayed up there the whole time. He mouthed the words & did some hand movements. We couldn't have asked for more considering everything. Last night we went to HuHot with Marty, Val & the boys. Sean had a blast eating with the "cheater" chop sticks. And... banging the gong!
